  6. Will be interesting to see which of the rumours (if any) are true. Internet Cafe would be good but I would have thought it was a little on the big side for just that. http://www.bedlington.co.uk/community/index.p...y&cmd=si&img=18

  9. Anybody know what's going on opposite the law courts towards the Market Place? There has been a JCB out there clearing the ground and levelling it out. Preparing for building work?
  10. Considering no emails have been sent to let people now it's back I don't think we're doing too bad. All the members up to now have simply discovered the site is back themselves.
  11. You mean you would like to use it as an emoticon? like these? They are generally there to illustrate emotions. I will add it only if you can come up with a suitable emotion it will illustrate.

  15. I will add the email forwarding/webmail suggestion to the list, this is definately possible. In regards to the mass mailing of the old members this is also a possibility. I will pass the suggestion on to the marketing department
  16. Looking at this now. Could you please check your board settings under "My Controls" to confirm your settings there. It is most likely a DST issue. These posts have been moved from the original thread due to their off-topic nature.
  17. Eating a strawberry doughnut without licking your lips is an extremely hard if not impossible task. I've yet to determine whether this is true of all flavours of doughnut but if anybody would like to send me any I don't mind doing the necessary research.
  18. We are pleased to announce the addition of a Personal Blogging Feature. What's a Blog? A blog, in it's simplest terms, enables you to write on an ongoing basis. What you write, or upload to it, is up to you. You could write about your thoughts, opinions, hobbies, post photos, use it as collaborative space, or a personal diary - it's entirely up to you. Entries are arranged in chronological order with the newest appearing at the top making it easier for your visitors to keep up to date. How do I get started? You must be a registered member of Bedlington.co.uk in order to create a blog, but don't worry none of this will cost you a penny. Once registered look in your User Control Panel (My Controls) where you will see a Community Blog menu group. To create a Blog click on Blog Settings. You must first agree to the Blog Terms and Rules. After this step you will be asked to provide a name for your Blog, and an optional description. When you click 'Finish' your Blog will be created. Don't fret about getting the Title or Description 'right', like everything else in your Blog they can both be updated at the click of your mouse. More information regarding this new feature can be found in the help documentation. But, like most things to do with computers, the fastest way to learn is by doing - so go ahead and give it a try!
  19. Help using the site can be found by clicking the 'help' link which appears in the top right of every page and will be updated to further emphasise the features you have mentioned. Frequently asked questions will be added as needs be. The personal galleries are not quite ready to roll out but will be added in due time once the testing is complete.
  20. To help the development of the site please post in here any features you would like to see included.
  21. Welcome back Gary. I'm not too sure on the whereabouts of the old message base or whether it still exists. If it materialises I'll try and get it restored within the week.
  22. hmmm speak in riddles he must.
  23. You'll have to narrow it down a bit for me
  24. What's Happening? Bedlington.co.uk is to be re-launched before year-end. Development is ongoing, and some highly innovative *local* e-commerce facilities will be available in the near future. BUT, there's a lot more going on than just another website. Details will be found here just as soon as they are released to the local press - otherwise it won't be news! Public Bulletin Board Following a number of requests the public bulletin board, which ran for several years, has now been restored using significantly better software. The forums will be a bit "fluid" for a few months, and any reasonable suggestions are likely to be acted on. Please make suggestions on the forums themselves, and not by e-mail. The Board is looking for reliable moderators - although the offers already received are gratefully accepted. Experience indicates that it will be some time before we're up to the volumes of postings we received during the late '90s. But, with the planned active promotion, and the now vastly increased penetration of the Internet into local homes and business, we're confident of bettering all previous records before 2006 is out. Business in Bedlington If you'd like your local business prominently featured on the new bedlington.co.uk then please e-mail: with your full business details.
