Respect and accountability! Many of the youth today have no respect for others, or themselves, when we took away the teachers ability to teach and the police the ability to do their job and to some extent the right for parents to bring up their children the way they were brought up, we lost control of the children!
"Do Gooders" or "Bleeding hearts" they go under many names are destroying our youth yet it's what they profess to be protecting and as long as politicians have to be "politically correct" to get re-elected then I can't see things changing.

Our condolences to his family, it's very enlightening to put a person behind a name, I respectfully often wonder who you all really are!

Often it is company policy that makes a company good, but I find it is usually it's an individual who makes or breaks dealing with a company, any one proving good service will always get my business, it's worth an extra $

My favorite ham sandwich.....two slices of fresh white buttered bread place a couple of slices leg ham on bottom slice then get a bag of salted crisps put a good handful on t5op of ham then put top slice on crisps and squash down .......heaven
I second that one Brian, but can't get Smith's crisps with the little blue bag of salt!

Exactly that - Vic mentioned that being guilty or innocent is fact; I disagree - its not fact until its proven.
Guilty or innocent is a fact! you actually did it or didn't do it, that is a fact! whether it is found out or proven is another matter completely. If you don't get caught doesn't make you innocent, just lucky!
-
Surely they are not guilty until proven guilty.
Not quite so, being guilty or innocent is a fact but normally people are presumed not guilty until it is proven.

A little bit off topic and I can't speak for the UK but we are getting many people being freed from jail because of being wrongly convicted (only based on the evidence presented in court) I don't remember seeing any of them being found not guilty!
-
I didn't follow his trial, but he was found guilty, and he was just recently given a hero's welcome home by government officials, the same ones who handed him over in the first place.
What was the evidence that fooled everyone (at least those with less than half a brain!)

If the question had been "Who is YOUR favorite musician" I'd say Acker Bilk, (but it wasn't !)

Youth Disorder In Bedlington
in Talk of the Town
Posted
I started off by saying "many of the youth today" which is true I also feel the majority of youth are well brought up, well behaved respectful members of our society, they do not need the extra attention demanded of the few "bad apples". I know a few parents who are terrified of their children, the kids defy parents, teachers, police and social workers because they have the "law" on their side! many of these kids are from good decent homes with good parents and siblings.
I'm only guessing when I suggest it's because the elected politicians who have the power to change the laws wont because it is not "politically correct" maybe they feel the children do need protecting from parents, police and teachers, I'm certainly open to hear other "theories" as to why a few children can run amok in today's society untouched.
I guess if we had the all answers there probably wouldn't be a problem!
