  1. We all love your rants Bill But I still believe there should be a memorial to miners who died down Bedlingtonshire pits, but i can't get anyone to help me with it so I have had to drop the idea.
  2. Nice to see some parish councils are non-political.
  3. One statement I can never get over is "those from low-income backgrounds" How is that line drawn? Is it if your parents have less then £10,000 a year income? I read an interesting thing about this very subject: http://www.mirror.co.uk/3am/celebrity-news/simon-cowell-baby-not-inherit-2252368 Simon Cowell will not give his son a penny and he is a multi millionaire. It does not matter how poor or rich your parents are, it does not say they will give their children money to get a bus or further your education. And with youth Unemployment up so high how are the children meant to get the money?
  4. Looks like people in general are sick of politics a 34.19% turnout and only 4 parties got an increase in votes more then last year that is: UKIP up 10.99% Labour up 9.67% Scottish National Party up 0.34% and Socialist Party of Great Britain up 0.02% Everyone else has fallen or stayed at 0%
  5. Funniest video ever:
  6. Both left and right three G. Mainly the extreme left and right (BNP, Socialist Labour Party, etc. also the "eco friendly" groups Greenpeace, Green Party, etc.) They will never support it so as I said not all political parties/groups will support it.
  7. There are some people and parties in the political movement that would love to see every single coal mine close never to open again and would not give there support to miners buying and running the mine.
  8. Knowing you foxy you would be hoping a nice lady would come and give you the kiss of life .
  9. Best of luck to them however I doubt they will get the support of every political party.
  10. I Hope Mrs Foxy does not read you posts foxy
  11. I remember about a year ago an old woman was standing at the market place bus stop and lost her footing, I rushed to help her and so did the people in the hairdressers behind it, they walked her into the hairdressers and gave her a cup of tea and made sure she was fine, but i counted at least 5 people who walked by as if nothing happened. On another case I was driving down green lane in Ashington and a car had went into the dike on the sharp left turn and I just passed in the car and never thought till I got home "Was everyone ok?" I regret not stopping to check. That is why I now carry a high viz bomber jacket, a first aid kit and a fire extinguisher in the car and will stop next time I see anything like that.
  12. Wolverine, That's Interesting.
  13. Best way to stop them calling I guess.
  14. The Toilets were owned by the county council and to my best knowledge still are, (they may be Tesco's now after the sale of the gap site and car park.) They were closed after Tesco asked for them to be closed as they saw no point in them as the building of the new superstore (which would have toilets) was still on the cards at the time.
  15. Happy Birthday, hope you have a good one.

  18. I met a tax inspector today and he showed me how to fill a form in, later I met a foreman who showed me how to fill a tax inspector in.
  19. A Romford girl took the pill and washed it down with pond water, today she was diagnosed as being three months stagnant.
  20. I'm one of them have been since august last year, Had no problem the other day getting the money back.
  21. Can't understand that I would contact the head office and ask them Keith.
  22. If you speak to your Adviser you should get reimburse for any travel cost, mind you have to be prepared to fight for them sometimes.
  23. Congrats Keith, Well done hope you enjoy the job. But now back to the topic at hand I was asked a question in an interview once, "what do you watch on TV?" I replied, "I don't watch the TV much I only watch the News sometimes and that is very rare." I thought I told the truth that what an employer would want, WRONG! I went back 2 weeks later and asked for feedback as I had not heard a word from them and the bloke who took my interview came over and said, "you were very negative about yourself, you said you only watched the news sometimes, you should have expanded on that and said I watch the news sometimes because I am Interested in current affairs." I thought to myself so the employer wants me to Lie? I don't watch the news or TV in general that often because I'm busy looking for jobs.
  24. I have never understood why your Marital Status plays a part in job applications weather your single, married, etc. What has that got to do with your employer, also what if your engaged or in a relationship?
