Adam, I am quite certain that you don't speak a Northumbrian dialect.
I should say Pitmatic in a sort of way not Like our Very own High Pit Wilma, But I'm getting there.
-
Adam just accept that was the sound you were going for posh or Geordie or Northumbrian.
Sounds to me as if one or two people are winding you up.
I think they are Maggie but I don't mind really at times depend what day you talk to me on
, Malcolm will back me up on that.
-
People are Interested Bill but they just don't comment as they don't know what to say, I for one Love your stories, also because your an ex work mate of my dads.
Did not know you were involved in Cleaning up woodhorn, shame they have moved more to a normal museum now then a mining museum.

"I talk with a Northumberland "sort" of" dialect (have yet to get the exact sort of dialect)" but if I'm on the phone in a council meeting, job interview, etc. I talk Standard English but somethings the Northumberland comes out"
Well there you go, Adam. Aren't you being a bit hard on 'non-North easters' who can't pin-point your exact geographic origins when they hear you speak? Stop being irritated by them and instead be proud that you've retained enough of the North-East dialect (and North-East accent, when you speak standard English) that they can recognise which area you are from.
It is when I speak to people in a Northumbria dialect they say "So your a Geordie" and it irritates me, not when I talk standard English I sound posh according to some people.
Also the people I talk to are North Easterners most from Northumberland and a few from Newcastle.

Did anyone know about this?

Also another bit can be found in Alnwick.

Happy Birthday all hope you have a good one and a good start to the new year.

Very few people today speak a Northumbrian dialect. I will be very surprised if you do. Most speak standard English with a North East accent. My guess is that you do too. When a 'southerner' says you're a geordie he 's not aware of the fine Dividing lines that northerners themselves impose upon the North East dialect (as it's called today). He's only aware of certain dialectal features assosciated with the North East and the name of a prominent north east city. The Word 'geordie is intranationally accepted to mean 'of or belonging to the North East of England'.
Depends who and where I am talking Canny lass, If I'm talking to my family i talk with a Northumberland "sort of" dialect (have yet to get the exact sort of dialect) but if I'm one the phone in a council meeting, job interview, etc. I talk Standard English but somethings the Northumberland comes out.

A member of the public raised the matter after the explanation he got off Bernicia was that the corridors were too narrow for modern disabled regulations.
If that is the case there must be a lot of older buildings to come down now?!?
Modern disabled regulations do not apply to building built or changed before the regulations came into force, however if you are altering or building a Building now you have to comply with the regulations set under the disability discrimination act.
An Example would be The Community centre the building has only been changed in one area so only that area has the comply with disability discrimination act regulations.

Adam says Kaspersky is best (or is that just Internet Security?)
I use Internet Security which covers your internet and computer so i would recommend it instead of Anti Virus as that only covers your PC not internet.
-
Why was Glebe Court knocked down? They look to be reasonably modern ... or maybe that was the problem.
Bernicia Homes Replied to West Bedlington Town council's request for why Glebe Court was to be Demolished.
In the reply Bernicia Basically said The housing was no longer fit for purpose under the disability discrimination act and it would be more expensive and time consuming to make them DDA compliant, then Demolish and start over.
If anyone wants to see the Letter from Bernicia Homes To West Bedlington Town council, it would be best to speak to the Town Clerk John Nicholson.

What really grinds at me is how people say to me "your a Geordie" I then have to grit my teeth and say nicely to them after a few seconds "I am not a Geordie, Geordies are from Newcastle and Gateshead, I am a Northumbrian because I'm from Northumberland."

Only Thing I can Find about him and the Terriers is the video of when he Visited.
http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/p00qcgmd
However since he is "Lord Bedlington" and is Worth $2 Billion he could start getting known by building a sport centre for us and then there's more he could do on top of that.

Probably my fault for suspending my McAfee real-time scanning for a few weeks whilst I was checking out performance issues.
Chances are McAfee would never have picked it up in the first place, Best Anti Virus/spyware software is Kaspersky Internet Security or AVG Anti Virus Both Pick up Spyware, Viruses, Trojans, Etc.
Ones the Avoid are mainly McAfee and Norton As they are Cheap Anti Virus Software which only pick up Major Viruses.

George Clark is doing a good job promoting Kielder on C4 with the tree house he is building on Amazing Spaces.
Also that millhouse with the new waterwheel, with all the metal parts coming from.................Bedlington! Its going to be on again soon I understand.
Was the metal as used, from a place that has make metal ends for Items with a Bedlington Theme "terrier" which you oversaw Malcolm?

When are the next elections? May!
May 2014 is European Parliament Elections, May 2015 General Election, May 2017 Parish/Town council elections. I think somebody correct me if I'm wrong.
-
I would recommend you go to the next full council meeting on the 9th January 2014 at 6.30pm in Bedlington Community Centre and ask the question Maggie.

Well done to Malcolm and Adam for
1) being open on this sight about their names
2) being prepared to represent Bedlington in an honest and straightforward way!
At least they cared about Britain in Bloom and making our favourite town beautiful.
Where were the others, did they not care!
That is accepting that no one knew the implication for West Bedlington that had been put forward after theCore Strategy was complete shiny brochure and all.
If any other Councillors care to comment that would be great and restore confidence.
After all a Parish council seems less powerful to me and only being able to discuss things at Full Council meetings seems to
'Wipe out' people who could help Bedlington.
Maybe someone can help me understand.
Democracy does not seem too powerful.
I look forward to the leader of the council commenting and explaining.
Or anyone other than our two favourite independents
Just so everyone knows.
The structure of the Town Council has been changed by a vote of 5 - 4 to abolish all committees and sub groups and replace with one or two full council meetings a month.
Needless to say all the independents voted against the move.

6774 the area of land North of Hazelmere towards Choppington.
Is that not the Old Brickwork's/Tip that is full of Asbestos, cyanide and other Nasty products?
-
It obviously has historic merit and Bedlington should do something to hang onto its past. Maybe raising funds by public subscription would help. A good old fashioned petition to save the stables might help if the council realises a lot of locals care about it. That means standing at a busy place with a petition form and collecting signatures no matter what the weather. If Bedlington has no Historical Preservation Society perhaps the restored stables would make a good location.
Would the developer be willing to sell the land to a community group?
That is the question.
