  1. He was around in the Andy Cole era. Sang songs that were so bad they were good! I believe he got a little depressed because no one took him seriously. I have a tape of his somewhere, if you are unlucky I may try and find it. He did a song about baked beans which was very funny. Then there was Norman the inspector on the Metro. All in the best possible taste as Kenny Everett would say
  2. Exciting end to the season, as long as the right team stay up. Where is Harry Palmer with a song when you need him! Who can remember him and his songs I wonder!
  3. Someone said there was an application for a deep mine at Widdrington. Maybe coal mining is not dead!

  19. My first babysitter is there, her dog died and at a young age I was the person to tell her. Her and I used to enjoy cream cakes from Barnes store. Later I would cycle to deliver them to the old folks homes in the Hartlands.
  20. Before the Health and Safety strike, I wonder who and what we can record. Today is a birthday in the family and it seemed like a good day to remember all those who have gone before. The cemetery still provides echoes past and present. So many names there of people on the site.
