Yesterday in Morpeth reminded me of Bedlington and the Miners Picnic.
Parades, folk groups even a band playing in the park.
No political arguments.
If bored there was also an auction at Louis Johnsons

Cambois has a history that goes back before the current name.
I recall an argument that it was the port of call for ships, boats because if its position.
Between the rivers.
Bedlington and the townships are in a unique position.
I just wish someone would provide the money and expertise to investigate.

You learn something new every day.
My childhood was lacking discovery time at Cambois.
Aliens and Monsters! Oops sorry I meant to say, that the powers that be we're protecting us all from disaster!
On the basis of the film threads set in Sheffield, I think, in the event of nuclear warfare the best option is death.

Smashing the Glass. Manchester Art Gallery is celebrating the picture smashing with a series of events and exhibitions called Wonder Women
Facts and figures. Lots of examples of unfairness.
It is maybe difficult to understand why these ladies behaved so badly but they felt it was hugely important. Have things changed?

Just used the term
Workie ticket.
I guess I work my ticket quite often.
I also have enjoyed the Mordue Brewary ale.
Radgie Gadgie was another ale they made, not sure if they still make these brews

Controversy raises the issues.
Did they not have a minutes silence for Gary Speed!

His grave is in the church yard.
Near the vestry.
Osgathorp claimed his bible saved him from death in a World War.
He seemed very old so I assumed the first but I was young and he seemed ancient.
I have a confirmation list that reads like a who's who of Bedlington.
The days when you knew everyone, or the family did. For old pictures etc we need to write down people time and place.
My mother and father were the font of all names.
I just enjoyed the history of it all, still do

The lady who owns these pictures is a treasure.
They are more valuable than gold as a record of our little town.

With hindsight, what should we do with disaffected youth!
Live life dangerously!

The people who are the Nailers look to be standing next to the photographers in Vulcan Place.
There faces look familiar.

Now let us praise the NHS for dealing with all the injuries from 'Gannin doon the furnace bank.'
Obviously everyone on the sight was too skilled to need any first aid etc
-
How about
'Fell em Doon'
That tackle at the weekend was certainly that.
I am in the Deep South and missing reality.

My father believed the Swanns employed people from Ireland because there was an Orangemen connection.

Wonder how many jockeys have died in the Grand National.
How many others have been traumatised because of what they have witnessed both to the jockeys and the horses.
Has anyone committed suicide years later because they could not get it out of their mind.
Obviously paying tribute to the cause first.
There are so many reasons to thank Emily.
She has caused us to discuss these issues.
