Westridge annual camping trip to High Wray bay in the Lake District. Photos, via John Fox, from Mr Cook the PE Teacher and posted on the Bedlington Facebook groups.
Jack Kid commented :- great photos from the annual trip to the Lake District, at the start of the school summer holidays. I think I went on 3 of these, probably 1962-63-64. One year, in the advance party that put up the bigger tents, we travelled in the back of a lorry (like a furniture lorry). No seats, no windows, just sitting/lying on the tents & other equipment. I recognise one or two people, but not many. Therefore, this probably was 1965 or after.

Another thing that has come back to me. It was usual for us to take any canoes/kayaks that had been built in the Woodwork classes in the back of the "furniture lorry" and we would then paddle away on Lake Windermere (or whatever lake we were near to).
Esme Dent comented :- the camping was at High Wray bay near Hawkshead across from Windermere...loved the school camps...we used to take the trampoline from the gym as well..x

@HIGH PIT WILMA - this would be your year group. Do recognise any of them ?
James has supplied a clearer image and Anne Sanderson off the Facebook Bedlington remembered group reckons it was 1955 . I have asked her if she is No 31 (the only Anne named on the photo) but she hasn't replied yet :-

Hi Eggy, No we don't and Dot hasn't seen it before, but she recognized those she named right away, my print wasn't the best but I'll try and sharpen it to see if she knows anyone else.
I have 'sharpened' the photo, with the numbers, the best I can with Microsoft Digital Pro 10. Hoping @James posts a copy without the numbers and names

I assume it stems from our childhood pastime of 'plodging in the clarts'. Because many of the old photos are damaged or the image uploaded is a photo, with flash, of a photo (rather than a scan) then I attempt to repair them (Microsoft Digital Pro 1o) and enhance the colours. I haven't kept the original of this 1965 Mrs fox's class photo but this is an example of Before and After clarting :-

We cracked it, full house. Well done everyone. Its also helped my memory!!
What about No 40. Should I change it to Christine Rowell?

It is CL - this one by Foxy from the pit heap. The building in the foreground, right side on Keith's and Left side on Foxy's I believe is a building from the old 'A' pit that they used to store materials whilst they were building the estate. @John Fox (foxy) will be able to confirm, or deny, that

@Canny lass + @Rigger - Mick Hedley - Facebook sixtownships group says No 3 - John Foster & No 21 George Scott. Derek Stephenson - Facebook Bygone Bedlington - also confirmed No 3 as John Foster and added - 'not sure if his father ran The Howard Arms'

Names updated @Canny lass - Iv'e left 19 as Pat French and added Dorothy Dickinson ? to No 35. So still some 'clarting' to do

Eggy, would you like to explain the title: 'Mrs Fox's class clarting'. Clarting?
@Canny lass That's just my naming the photos when I start to enhance/photoshop and add text etc. When I am finished 'clarting' I normally rename the photo before uploading but in this case, and probably many others, I forgot.
