  1. Math? Maths?that bit was part of the red herring, just like most of the rest of it!

    heres one for you, And no calculators please! do it in your head!

    What is half of 99½?

    (thats 99½ divided by 2 for the ones looking for the trick!)

    Be honest and say how long it took you too!

    Never did get an answer tho!

    Amazing how many people say 48¼ tho....

  2. here hasn't this gone off topic! bending ya own rule there arn't you!

    Bending yes, breaking, no... the camera statement was in direct connection with the bedlington theme, ie, when i get the camera, photos will be posted regarding this thread.... but nice to see i dont have to work too hard, you guys and gals will keep me right! ;)

  3. I miss Miners Picnic Day - used to be a great day when I was a kid. My dad used to carry the banner for Bates' sometimes, so we'd watch the procession down the Front Street to Atlee Park. Speeches would go on, and we bairns would play beside the river. Then up to 20 Acres afterwards for the shows.

    Top Day. B)

    I agree, i remember being a kid, and watching everyone else on the quad bikes, and my parents saying "when your bigger"...

    ...i still havent been on a quad!

  4. Well. Since I was replying to your post,and was at my computer,I don't think I was there Mr Darn,even though I am Merlin :lol:;)

    Fair comment!

    well, only 13 days till i get my new camers, then i will HAVE to become a 'contributer'!

    i've seen loads of potential 'photo oppertunities' i wish i'd had my camera for!

  5. Between Monday, July 16th July and Friday, July 20th volunteers will be helping to clear vegetation and litter at the Bedlington Iron Works site as part of National Archaeology Week.

    ------

    Not a pancake or even a drink of water. B)

    How many people are expected? as i'm sure someone with a burger van could pop by if their was plenty!

    Never know, if the weathers good, i may even pop down there myself!

    Cheers ala...erm...'Richard'!

  6. Thankyou, its a good un.

    Will not be going clubbing because a typhoon is closing in as I type this, will go out for a quiet meal with my hubby instead. :P

    OOOH, i do hope your ok... i love freaky weather, its just a shame people have to get hurt... :blink:

  7. How far do you have to count before using the letter A in spelling a number?
    9?
    EH! Where's the "A" in nine :blink:

    s=1

    p=2

    e=3

    l=4

    l=5

    i=6

    n=7

    g=8

    a=9

    n=10

    u=11

    m=12

    b=13

    e=14

    r=15

    must be one thousand then is it?

    or 65 in binary (97 for a) (A=01000001 or a=01100001) am i getting close? :huh:

  8. You do realise that Cambo and Cambois are different places, don't you?

    Either way, your comments regarding blowing the place up strike me as rather foolish.

    No offence.

    On a serious note, wouldnt blowing it up have an effect on Bedlington? ie radioactive ash deposited on every surface, radiation poisioning for miles, and thats without the power plant ;)

    Naaa, i like cambois really, i have a few friends there... please dont blow it up!

  9. Thats why W.D.C. insisted that no Perry's were involved in any capacity with the club,before the council would help them out with any money!!!!!!!!! It was the only club to have a scaffold business through it's books!!!!!!!!!! The demolition business went down the pan,the roofing business went down the pan.They went bust after they built Perystone Mews not paying any contractors.They knock down a listed building to build flats,even though there were objections,none sold at the minute and they went bust not paying contractors again,Oh yes and The Terrier burnt down on the only night in three years that they weren't there.But for all that Canny lads really :lol::lol:

    Cant argue with those numbers!
