  1. You have got to be mocking! I only got to question 4 after about 8 trys..it`ll take forever

lol, some are easy, some are just guesses!

i'm up to about attempt 100 to get to question 75!

!*!@# that its a huge flash file! 8mb not worth the wait!

    its worth the wait!!

trust me, once you get past q 10 its addictive...

  2. hold on it was free and your moaning! some people are never happy! if you had to pay it probably would have been the real thing! next you'll be maoning that the santy in the metro centre is a fake!

No, i said it was free to enter.

it cost me a days wages!

    maureen

I have been asking about for you, and the main responce to my question is 'netherton village or netherton, bedlington?'

Not sure where you mean myself, so could you clarify?

  4. PM me with the answer! Go on,tell is..i`ll keep it secret ;)

Not till i know for sure.... but they will be named and shamed!

Unless they have 2 names i did not notice whilst i was a mod, it is not a regular poster, but has posted...

Care to reveal yourself and save some face???

  5. It sounds hilarious. Dreams shattered and wallets emptied.

Thats the killer tho, the event was free to watch, had it been a paid entry i think we would have had WW3 on our hands! (who's told me a million times about exaggerating?)

The warburtuns stall (the bread people, dunno how its spelled and the spell checker is suggesting carburettors) was giving away slices of bread and butter, the '5 a day' was giving away apples but everything else seemed to be costly!

i dunno how much as the dust from my hasty retreat obscured my view.

  6. It wasn't me who left the note on your car. But then I'm a ninja, and I'm geet stealthy. And that.

I know that denzel, in fact, due to a recent slip up, i think i may know exactly who it is!

amazing how things come out in the wash eh?

  7. For anyone with young children, or with youngsters in their family/friends circle, you will have heard of Lazy Town.

Miss Darn's 2 children love the show (and missdarn has a crush on robbie rotten and sportacus!) but for those that dont know, its a childrens program aimed at getting kids to eat "sports candy" (apples etc) and dance about with the help of sportacus, an atheletic hero that helps people in trouble and stephanie, a young girl new to lazytown that loves to dance. Also, among others is Robbie Rotten, who hates anything which involves effort, and loves sweets and cake.

    Anyways, i digress...

earlier this week metro radio had a 'text in' competition to win a chance to meet sportacus at Gateshed's international stadium... no, i didn't win! :(

I do however, feel sorry for those who did!

i went down, with the children and missdarn, to see what the fuss was about, and to see if i could catch a glimps of the childrend 'hero in blue'.

we got down there a bit late, and with the rain, thought it had been canceld, as loads of familys were walking away from the stadium, some of the children crying!

we pulled in, went to the stadium and joined a small group of familys around the metro radio stage. We were just in time for the unveiling of a thousand balloons, by none other than Sportacus himself!

eagerly we waited for a glimps of the hero, until a flash of blue, and on comes a man standing on his hands to a huge applause!

unfortunatly, this applause died down quickly as our so-called hero stood back up.

    It Wasnt him.

Children cried, parents walked off, but a few stood oblivious to the fact they had traveled to see their hero and were confronted by a man dressed up as him.

Miss darns 2 were mortified. even went as far as to ask what had happened to him (they thought maybe robbie rotten had used a disguise!)

    Anyway, my point:

how can a radio station like metro advertise meeting Sportacus from lazytown only to find out he's a fake? i know i wouldnt have entered if i'd known i was gonna meet an actor!

    what do you lot think?

  8. nuf said! any way if you are going to spend money on a camera i would go for a canon eos or something similar making sure it has a quality lens! fuji have a nice selection of slr cameras!

So i have seen, however, still out of my price range at the moment.

I've been relegated to a 8MP without attachable lenses till i can afford it! (thats if she can find it!)

  9. not realy as it will already be blown up!

But thats the idea. i want the image to be as big as possible at its normal size, so it looks clear, rather than having to blow up a smaller file and seeing the pixels.

  10. a 10mp camera will just take the same picture but make a larger file!

Yes, but would that larger file not contain a purer picture? enabling it to be enlarged by a bigger factor before distorting?

  11. I think you need to look beyond the misunderstood standard of 'mega pixels' Mr. Darn.

Would you like to poiunt me in the right direction?

I was given the advice: a 4MP camera with a lens that gets the shot you want is much better than a 10MP camera picture you need to crop, which i understand.

i was assuming the MP rate was basically the number of different individual pixels per square inch the camera can process into a file. Is this wrong?
