  1. Thats one of the points I was trying to make Dave, America is one of the biggest nations in the world and they don't seem to be interested.

Thats because america is a cultural vacuum based on fantasy and doublethink, it might have been different but unfortunatley they voted a chimp in charge whose about a smart as an egg timer. I have a feeling china is also a problem but i have the feeling if they wanted too they have more control over their population and have little qualms about imposing anything they want - unlike most western nations. Its up to the likes of the UK to persued the developing countries that green is the only way forward and climate change is caused by human carbon creation. Its not helpful to have the most powerful country acting like everything is going to be ok and not even considering action as it may slow growth! Maybe a few more hurricanes will help change minds - as long as they hit white areas of course. otherwise the're just acts of god!

  2. If you think about it, i remember when the green house effect was first discovered as a way in which temperature changes happen on earth. Then super computers were created and they were used to predict longer range weather forecasts. Then when these computers became more powerful they plugged in the data they had concerning this new green house effect theory, and hey presto the end of the human race! It might have been preventable but it would have needed the whole world to agree that something had to be done....everyone else agreed it did.... The great satan george walter bush thought it didn't. RIP

  3. The reason many people don't care to join the system, apart from general laziness, is that if they do, they may have to shoulder some of the blame when something goes wrong.

From their point of view it is much more satisfyingly virtuous to do nothing, while loudly complaining and sneering at the presumed ineptitude of those who try!

In politics, as in life, you get what you give.

    Joe

I can take the blame just give me the money .. I'll spend it well. But seriously its not gonna take the brains of an archbishop to work out what bedlingtons needs are. So i'd invest it , its gonna take more than a million.

  4. I understand where you are coming from Threegee but the fact remains the only way to change things is to embrace the system and change from within. Who is going to make the decisions about how this million quid will be spent on the town and who will make sure the right development goes into the "Gap Site"? If there was a bit more input there might not be so many negative comments on this board regarding the town and its appearance.

I vote they trust me with the million quid

  5. If they really said the're waiting far someone to get killed then if someone does get killed they could be

prosecuted. As its their duty of care to carry out risk assessments on all near misses that are reported never mind fatal accidents. I had my work experience from school in those council offices .. i watched one lady spend the entire day talking !*!@# and drinking diet coke, she had a laugh like a dying donkey. The next day a letter was sent around the offices. Its title was ' Are You a social loafer ' .. This lady had a right laugh at it . All day she spent reading through it saying in a screaching howled tone ' Whats a social loafer ' I wanted to scream " YOU ARE YOU ******* ****. But i just sat and seethed instead ..doing all her fu**ing filing.

  6. Well I have to say that I have rode horses since I was 3 years of age, now nearly 21 and I would never dream of taking a horse on the roads that is not 100% bombproof on the roads(in horsey terms it means that if u cud drop a bomb at its feet and it blew, the horse would not move a muscle). Not just for our safety but for other road users as well.

I dont see why people pick on horses when they are very useful animals. many years ago before cars were invented horses were used for many things to help us humans out so dont see why everyone is so negative about them now.

The thing about the poo is, if we had bridleways that we could use instead of having to use roads and share pathways with everyone then we would. The council say they are bridleways but when you go to the entrance to them you cant get down, I nearly had two accidents last summer with my horse at Plessey woods. I followed the signs for this bridleway and went down nxt to the river there was river on one side of me and a hill on the other, the bridleway started getting smaller and smaller and my horse slipped onto the hill and I went flying into the fence that was next to the river. I was by myself with my horse at the time so god knows what would have happened if I had fallen. 2nd was when me and a friend went down a different track at Plessey, next to the river again started following the trail when we came to some steps that went down then back up, clearly NOT A BRIDLEWAY!!!!

Another place is Humford Woods if you follow the signs for the bridleway you can only go so far then you have to turn back, even though the signs tell you to keep going, theres barbed wire that stops you

So the moral of the story is horses poo wherever coz theres no bridleways for us and that why we need to use paths or roads!!!!

    great

  10. I agree with you 100% and its time they kicked off all of those, this is how your house should be decorated programes and your garden should look like this, it must have decking and a water feture. While were at it Coronation st, Eastenders and all that type of rubish should be baned but I like Heartbeat.

See the BBC are flogging there own tonight with a half hour of outtakes from Rub a Dub enders

Who the hell wants to see a borderline boiler ( ann robinson ) that looks like she needs a good doing

showing a load of crap acting from a bunch of cockney wan*ers - call that entertainment cos i dont!!! I wouldnt be bothered but i couldnt go out as im out early trmw and im stuck with the choice of Watching sea birds get it on ( BBC 2 ) and Ian Beal get his lines wrong again ....hilarious.. they can shove their license fee up their !*!@# .

Folk Rock, has anyone heard of Skyclad ?? they're from the toon and play folk metal!!

I think it rocks, Double kick drum and banjos with thrash guitar and tin whistle solos... there

Mates with twisty-arsed, opinionated bitches in tow - give them a slap, that's how they learn

Dogging - it's become too fashionable; Johnny-come-lately's stay away (no pun intended)

Pink - cheer up and stop shootin' on woman

Heartburn - not as enjoyable as Heartbeat

Celebrity Masterchef - what next? 'Celebrity First-fix Joiner?' 'Celebrity Bricklaying Squad?'

    Slugs - slimy little sods

I agree and since i've started to pay my license fee i complain all the time ... about crappy reality shows , like that singing one... maria something??? what was all that about? crap!! , and hospital dramas , anything containing lenny henry, and that
