  1. I think ID cards should be brought in . All other forms of ID are quite easliy forged .. The cards I think should have DNA records on them so the two questions i asked go together. I saw a clip on Breakfast this morning with a traffic warden on .. he had a camera strapped to his head film his day at work.. This way any abuse he gets is logged . I think this is an interesting idea for all cops and so on...

  2. Worrying thing to me is that they are up for good! Yes there is a good argument to have CCTV installed in certain areas but once they are up you (the public who they are supposed to be protecting) cannot get them taken down. If the need for them has been a fairly recent social development, say the last 10-15yrs, then might not that need disappear in the next 10 yrs or so, or do we all have a very pessimistic view of the way society will go? I was involved in the bid to get them into Bedlington and I asked for a clause in the bylaws where it had to be voted on, by elected councillors say, every few years to keep them up. Either that or some way we, the general public, could have them taken down when we felt there was no need for them. That idea was quashed by…………..the cops! The very people we give special powers to police our society in the way we want it to operate and for that reason they should have absolutely no input into the making of laws! The law is there for us to agree on and for them to police!

It is a sad indictment of us to have the need for them, it is even sadder we have no control over them!

I had the chance to use the CCTV cameras in bedlington a few years back .. i wouldnt worry to much about being caught on them as they dont in fact ... work . And the others just looked up at the sky .. if theyve been improved since i dont know

  3. Thanks .. I like a good poem heres one of my favorites .. a bit deep but worth reading

    1827

    Spirits of the Dead

    by Edgar Allan Poe

This poem is also called "Visit of the Dead."

Thy soul shall find itself alone

    'Mid dark thoughts of the grey tomb-stone;

Not one, of all the crowd, to pry

    Into thine hour of secrecy.

    Be silent in that solitude,

Which is not loneliness- for then

The spirits of the dead, who stood

In life before thee, are again

In death around thee, and their will

    Shall overshadow thee; be still.

The night, though clear, shall frown,

And the stars shall not look down

From their high thrones in the Heaven

With light like hope to mortals given,

But their red orbs, without beam,

    To thy weariness shall seem

As a burning and a fever

Which would cling to thee for ever.

Now are thoughts thou shalt not banish,

    Now are visions ne'er to vanish;

From thy spirit shall they pass

No more, like dew-drop from the grass.

The breeze, the breath of God, is still,

And the mist upon the hill

    Shadowy, shadowy, yet unbroken,

Is a symbol and a token.

How it hangs upon the trees,

    A mystery of mysteries!

    :o

  4. Mr Darn, you can post anything you like on this forum, dont let people moaning on about how boring some topics are stop you!

If the topics are so boring why do they bother to read and reply to them? I think they want the attention meself!

Anyway, I dont see them starting exciting topics or even saying anything useful, its all about bullying people and moan moan moan!

Well there you are, rant over!

Your right i'm jacking this site in. Its become tedious and im feeling stupid i've even been bothering checking it .Reading posts with increasingly less to say each week .. its sad. Maybe Bedlington just doesnt have alot to say for itself

  5. Not to bother checking this site for any good banter, as the atmosphere has been sucked right out of it

And another thing life taught me today. People can never have enough money ... Owen for example .. pocketing almost 14500 quid a day on the sick with a bad knee and then wanting to go home after getting better . (If rumours have any truth in them) Waste of money on a washed up poster boy that no serious team wanted due to his knackered leg!!!!!!

  6. MEPs are ...Fiona Hall - Stephen Hughes - Martin Callanan ...Send them a letter as I dont think they actually do anything but draw a wage!!! googled "who is my MP" asnd theres a site where you can write to them came up.
