    • When did i mention PSP / DS sales?
    • By the way, they change every quarter.

    • Nintendo didnt release an awful lot of consoles, most of which had to be returned due to faulty controller straps
    • Nintendo make a profit on their consoles because it only costs them around £100 to manufacture the whole thing.
    • Unlike Microsoft and Sony? What do you mean? They havent lost money yet.
    • Oh, Sony lose 150 - 200 quid for each PS3 they sell? They spend £416 on manufacturing the 'basic' console, of which around £260 is spent on the motherboard alone.
    • It's common for video-game console makers to lose money on hardware, and make up for the loss via video game-title sales

"This is all good news for customers, who get all that computing power for a relative bargain. iSuppli called the PlayStation 3 an "engineering masterpiece," with a motherboard that looks more like that of an enterprise server or network switch than a games console.

The console provides "more processing power and capability than any consumer electronics device in history," iSuppli said."

So how can you complain? Who cares wether the toffs at Sony lose money - i want a bargain!

You can keep Nintendo - with its 'funny games with bright colours"

    :P

So you agree with me then PS3 are over engineered expensive wastes of space... plus the UK version is a

bodged throw together due to sony running out of chips

Wow! Zelda fans in Bedlington! I thought I was the only one!!!

Station Games, if you could hunt me out a copy of the Four Swords for the Gamecube, I would be a very happy bird. Ooh.. or the Twilight Princess (though I'm not too sure about the 3D graphics).

Gosh! I sound like a geek now!

Fancy a bit of MarioKart action when you're up at the weekend? I've eventually unlocked Mirror Mode! Ooh!

Have you still got that game i left there.. i'll come round and give u a good ass kicking again :D:lol::lol:

  1. The Nintendo Gamecube died a sad death, simply because there was no variation in games / graphics from console to console. In fact most of the games for the Gamecube had already been previously released for the N64. And how many Gameboy games are also available for the DS and other Nintendo consoles? It gets boring after a while.

Its all Mario this and Yoshi that, with a bit of Wario and Princess Peach thrown in for good measure.

Must admitt though, Ocarina of time is still one of my all time favorites! :D

I think the Wii is aimed at a younger audience. Maybe Nintendo didnt intend it to be, but thats what their consoles always end up as being, now that Microsoft is on the scene to contend with Sony. Nintendo dont stand a chance.

funny how nintendo DS is out selling th psp by miles ..and have sold every Wii so far produced..which they make a profit on ...unlike microsoft and sony ..sony lose 150 -200 quid from every PS3 thay sell!! Its all first person blasters on the sony and microsoft machines .. i like funny games with bright colours :P

  2. Here is the latest minutes from a cabinet committe meeting dated 05 Feb 2007.

An intersesting read - just scroll down to COMMUNITY FACILITIES, BEDLINGTON.

I reckon they should keep nine holes of the golf course at least. Build a centre there with a 30m pool a indoor football pitch and a fitness suite with the profits from flogging the community centre and maybe a trim trail around the perimeter - which is inexpensive.. Extend the car park and charge a small fee for parking - throw in a small bar and function room ..sorted.

  3. I here that Perry bloke who does the clamping behind the market tavern is to be in the paper soon. Apparently he clamped a car outside Barkley's Bank (The car of an old woman) when it is not in his position to do so.

Public roads are for traffic wardens to sort out - and they would only issue a ticket, not clamp.

Anyway - the worst of it is, he marched the old lady into Barkley's to withdraw the money to release the clamp there and then. If anyone was in the bank then when it happened, you will know that the bank staff were less than happy about it.

He also clamped a lasses car behind the tavern - who was actually in the pub at the time?

Anyway - look out for it in the paper folks!

PS - how do you all like my use of PROPER ENGLISH! Look! I can do it too!

well its much easier on the eye... and by the sounds of it thats a job for the A team ... however if your stories true get a mob going as B.A. dont like flying....

  4. Oh Dave, don't get all huffy... you know I love to hear your war stories... when are you home next so we can hear some more?

Next week for my mams birthday theres a bit of a do on above the club on the saturday you coming?

Its a suprise... I dont have any war stories because contrary to popular belief the UK hasn't been at war since WW2. The falklands were a conflict and these ones at the minute are barely legal offensives driven by the states war on terror. Im a REMF at the moment anyway :(

  5. By the grand old age of 'over thirty' one would hope that you may have a established a finer grasp of the English Language.

Sorry to get in first Denzel x

woo there .. stand by your beds its the Queen of english.. everyone check your spelling

  6. Well i'd get a hobby if i were if you .. just waiting around for others to amuse you anywhere wont work.. hollyoaks is fiction...at least bedlington has a website where you can moan about stuff ..unlike elsewhere nearby

  7. I had it too it lasted about 5 weeks from start to finish! Was bedridden at one point and the doc said, well it's not bacterial so you'll just have to live with it! Very nasty indeed.

I have had it ... be careful it can come back.. i had it 3 weeks 2 of which were terrible then a week off ..then again for 3 weeks. The doc said it was a cross between bird flu ebola and yellow fever.. fought it off now like :D

    only joking.. it was horrible

  8. Keep suckling at Denzel's teat to progress further sir

    Denzel who? haha

I was only messing ... seriously though I think your correct about the transient part being a reason

not a great deal of money is spent on anything within Bedlington. That made it a prime candidate for

    the cop shop and court.

Does anyone remember the attempted rally track they 'Built' where the cop shop is now. It was around about 1985-86. what a joke

They got a couple of diggers to push some earth about and make a bumpy track for kids to ride their BMXs on... not many bothered because it was crap. I think they quoted that expensive venture as the reason for not building anything else.. ever!!... " Well we built that track for them and the fashion changed no one used it 2 months after it was up .. kids.. they dont know what thay want..." I wanted a swimming pool ... 15 years later and we got a cop shop and court.. BORING

  9. Mmmmmmmm..........you forgot we're housing battered women (probably from Ashington & certainly from Newbiggin aka Capital Stella)

    ;)

Aye but what you gonna do ...you've got the huge cop shop. The great big court ...and a chav factory... Like a big merry go round to watch.. just dont stray out at night..

is that non pc or WHAT!!!

  10. You've been watching Miracle on 34th street Mr lane.

  12. I read in a paper last week that the mp for blyth spent just over 400 quid on stamps in a year ( it was an article on expenses ) does that means he uses telepathy to communicate with his constituents or is it he doesnt write many letters. Bearing in mind the highest spent was 8000 quid a year or something.Maybe he's been in the seat for that long he can tell the opinions of his constituents on any given matter by gazing out of the window ... Its correct ! We've been taken for granted for years.
