Who needs BBCi?!
BarLassofBedlington Posted June 3, 2006 Report Posted June 3, 2006 That's good to know.well I know all the scandal, I hear allsorts working in A bar, a bar means only the market tavern now as I handed my resignation at the blue bell on tuesday just in case anyone who goes in is wondering why I aint there. I reckon the whole thing about 1.5 million n all that is !*!@# , we need alot more to be spent in Bedlington and the rent prices to drop to encourage people into the town, all wansbeck council is doing is driving people away. i think its shocking how 30 million is being spent on Morpeth, they have a half decent night life over there and now there get a shopping centre, Blyth Crammy and Morpeth even ashington with decent shops and shopping centres and bedlington is left with absolutely sweet mother !*!@# , I think we should all get a group together and protest!!!( I've always wanted to have a protest) and stand up at council meetings or whatever we are meant to go to and actually say something coz the only way we will get anything is if we do something about it so instead of moaning we go out and fight for what bedlington deserves to have, just to be the same as all the other towns in the county!!!
Guest missvic Posted June 3, 2006 Report Posted June 3, 2006 I think we should all get a group together and protestYes, lets protest!Hows about a sit-in occupation of the market tavern? Next Friday sound alright? I've heard that theres a band on... either Granny Smiths Maggot or Gintys Taxi? Start around 9.30?!(Ashington just got 6million the other day... grrr)
threegee Posted June 3, 2006 Report Posted June 3, 2006 I will tell you exactly what's at the core of Bedlington's problems. This isn't my personal opinion, it comes from the mouths of theculprits themselves - the present councillors that represent the Town! The problem is that they are very sure of their support base - peoplewho would turn out to vote for them, no matter what! Those peoplereside mainly in the East of the Town. They also know that peopleliving on the new private estates only sleep in the place, drivestraight out every morning in their cars, and generally couldn't givea monkeys! Those folk are hard work for any sort of opposition togarner support from. The consequence is that the people who have to earn their living inthe place - either employer or employee - aren't properly representedon WDC. So.. the Town gets regularly shafted!Only when the people who keep this lot of time-servers in office dothe decent thing by the Town, and refuse to turn out to support them, will we get any change. Either that or some pretty publicity-grabbingmass civil disobedience, which, given the present apathy, would bevery hard to organise. That's the truth of it, and no politician of any political persuasionwill say any different in private conversation.
