August 6, 201114 yr I am a past president of the American Bedlington Terrier club and I started my history passion back in the 70's. I visited Bedlington and the Northumberland area many times and spoke with many of the "old timers" who are no longer with us. The name Metcalf has come up many times and one of my old friends was Jack Wailes, a pitman and a breeder of the terriers. If anyone can share historical information with me I would be very grateful.

Take a look at the History Hollow section, The Gardners Arms. That was a Bedlington Terrier "hot bed".

February 4, 201313 yr Maybe this is the place to mention the strangest places you have bumped into a Bedlington. We were waiting at the railway station near Venice for our son to arrive, after travelling in Europe. Missed him because I had spotted a Bedlington.
