October 9, 201411 yr I was born in Bedlington in 1947 and attended first the Village Infant school near St Cuthbert's church before moving on to the Whitley Memorial school. At eleven I went to Bedlington Grammar school. I movedaway in 1967 when I got married and have lived in Devon for the past 36 years. Many memories (mostly fond) of the town, especially the hours we spent playing in the free woods and the ha'penny woods when we were children

December 1, 201411 yr Welcome Maubel, we were probably at the Whitley Memorial at the same time, although it looks like you passed your 11+ and I didn't. Was Miss Molden your teacher, Mr Hostler the Headmaster & Mattie Hall the teacher who ran the football team.
