My Grandmother had a flat iron that she still used in the 50s, then she got an iron that plugged into the light socket, never did figure it out how they ironed in the dark.

Keith, if you look at the Clayton arms from a distance the windows look as though they have been designed with a spider web effect, it not until you get close that you realies there broken and its like stepping into a war zone. My opinion anway.

Malcolm I had a pint of bitter and a meal on Wednesday with an old friend from Bedlington who now lives in Mansfield. Excellent pub, excellent meal and it was a Scotish and Newcastle pub, goes under the brand name, John Barras

It was a good one, nice and quite. Had a pint with your friend and mine on Wednesday he is keeping well. Many thanks to all for all your good wishes.

March/April Malcolm

Yes Malcolm, was there at the weekend, didn't have much time as I went to a reunion on Friday night and had a lazy day on Saturday, Traveled back early Sunday morning, was home for 9,00am. Still the same old Bedlington but its great to get back. I will be up next year Malcolm so we will have to arange a night to go for a pint or two or three or even more.

I remember watching the dozers flaten that land to build them shops.

Walked past there at the weekend, there appears to be only two shops open.

Sure was Keith and there was also a shop called Barns there to. Blyth Store also caught fire early sixties

I have seen the bare tree at the Station next to the toilets, it looks as if its hooked up to the lamp post but did not see any lights.
