Maybe it was built for the vicar?but what about the vicarage? does anyone know when it was built, who it was built for?
-
Happy birthday from us too, Malcolm.
-
Not likely, as it is only in the last few years that the Royal Grammar has admitted girls. She might have gone to the Royal Grammar in the Toon.

Is it a hawthorn?

So sorry to hear that. She was a lovely lady. Please pass on condolences to the family.

Agree, and they are local. Did a beautiful job of our daughter's wedding.

Good luck Malcolm. I would vote for you if I could.

Asda surely is a national chain.

It does, and is quite impressive when it does - give it another go.I gave up Ex-Bed! I didn't think it was going to load.

Actually you need a LOT of patience while it loads. Very interesting, but a bit jumpy on my netbook. You will need a quite fast machine for this, and a little patience whilst it loads.

Isn't that what usually happens to party leaders..It eventually took her own party members to get rid of her.
-
It was democracy that kept her there for so long. She won 3 general elections, unlike the present lot. What happened to democracy? If the people hated her so much then how did she last so long?

Well he is conspicuous by his silence is he not.Bet this fella does'nt agree.

Well said.Well we ALL have opinions on the Mrs Thatcher I was born and bred a minors son and lived in a mining community when we still had one so yes I agree what they did to the miners was at times tantamount to draconian measures, however IF they had backed down to the Unions I think we as a country would be a lot worse off and IF we had any other than Mrs Thatcher in charge at the time of the Falklands conflict they would be speaking Argentinian now, and in my opinion the reasons are she was a true brit and a Woman. These are my opinions I at the time admired her spirit and determination it has,nt been since regardless of who has been in power.
RIP

Totally agree, but despite everything, there has to be some element of respect. As I said at the start this Lady created a Marmite effect. Love, hate, respect!
-
I have no problem with people debating her policies, it is Symptoms attitude I found offensive. It is now over 20 years since she left politics, and I can't see her successors in either party having done any better.

You think you are being funny.Beat you by five minutes Symptoms.
Just as we'll we all have a sense of humour!

Sorry, I find this deeply offensive. Whatever you thought of her, now is not the time.
