  3. You have a way with words
  4. Latest news from tonights meeting Brian, SENRUG the campaign group do want Bedlington Station reopened. I also got the impression Ashington would probably be a priority if County Hall were relocated there, as Cilla Black would say................ Surprise Surprise!!
  5. They must have heard the Benefits are better here.
  6. Probably not, I've heard rumours the Train won't be stopping at Bedlington Station.

  9. Well spotted Canny lass, I usually see them in the morning but morning came late today after being in the Toon last night watching the Rugby on the big screen at Greys Monument. You missed a treat, hundreds of men with hairy legs wearing tartan skirts Happy Birthday Fourgee, have a Guddin
  10. In answer to Musicmusic, Nothing will change while we have our elected County Councillors either missing, telling us there's no money tree at the bottom of the high street, or campaigning for investment into a neighbouring town.. They were elected to represent us and are not doing that, so what can we do? Take a look at this weeks readers letters in the News Post Leader, it appears the only people who are happy with what we've got are those very councillors who attempt to justify NCC's actions. They have forgotten who put them in office but the moneys good if they toe the party line. They also like a jibe at the Make a Noise for Bedlington group, hopefully the very people who can vote them out at the next opportunity. Both NCC and our County Councillors visit this site but they elect not to respond .Wish we had an MP we could turn to.
  11. Some guys have all the Luck !
  12. Not sure about that.
  13. Micky Mouse is missing.
  14. No doubt with the full backing of our County Councillors.

  16. Happy Birthday Malcolm,............point of interest Pete, he didn't turn up at the Lion to watch the bikes, rumours are it was his turn to Pay
  17. Sold at Newcastle Quayside Market every Sunday alongside the Santana Brand in the 80s try them on in the back of the traders Van.
  18. Couldn't agree more with this one, I sincerely hope the people at Camp Bastion, and we all know who they are, read this !
  19. Maggs, you've had lots of birthdays, its Church School.
  20. The Town Fair which attracted between 7-10 thousand people got no mention in the press, could this be for the same reason? They're quick to jump on the Bandwagon with front page news when an announcement is being made about the new Lidl Store.
  21. Two very conflicting reports published on the same day in the local press. One County Councillor saying we can't pretend there is a money tree at the bottom of the high street and that they as councillors are as passionate as others about the town. In another report regarding a neighbouring town the public are being invited to view the £74 million investment plans of NCC. It would appear that there is a money tree at the bottom of some high street albeit not Bedlington or perhaps could it be some councillors are more passionate than others? The report from the News Post Leader also states there has been "too much unnecessary action so far which has not helped our community" I can only assume this refers to the Make a Noise for Bedlington campaign, a group that would not exist had the Councillors done what they were elected for, representing the people of Bedlington rather than trying to defend the misdeeds of NCC.
  22. Cannot believe that people are complaining about new business coming to the town, We'll it must be working cos all the lasses in Bedlington are Beauty's.. keep it up girls, take no notice of the critics.
  23. And we had the Town Fair which attracted between Seven to Ten thousand visitors and doesn't get a mention in the same local press. Could this be because the same local Councillors had nothing to do with the hugely successful event? Photos Attached
  24. Is it not the "Church School" wall that belongs to Dysart Developments that is cracked?
  25. Fantastic day today at the Town Fair which was a credit to the West Bedlington Town Council and all involved in the organisation of a huge success! Our deputy Mayor Chris Taylor and celebrity guest Crissy Rock
