  1. Best one on the website Brian
  2. Shouldn't the council know before the "lasses" in Tesco
  3. And now he's taking the credit for cutting the holiday short and stopping the riots .Apparantly the cops did nowt.
  4. Have you heard the wellworn phrase, I'll show my a*se in Fenwicks Window?
  5. Well said tomtom, perhaps Diane Raymond opticians need to stay open late on a Friday night if the town appears to be tidy and well kept to some of the correspondants. The old school and garage you mention are now slipping down the League of Slums, and are soon to be overtaken by Johnsons shoe shop and the former spend "n" save shop that is a disgrace to the market place. I'm not sure who owns this particular slum but I suspect the owners are the same people who are mucking the town about with plans and broken promises about building a Supermarket.I'll bet the people who spent nearly 1 million pounds upgrading the Market Place wish they could have their money back to spend it on a town where the authorities are a bit more assertive. NCC should take control of the town and not let these outsiders move in buying up properties and letting them decay waiting for Building Booms that are not going to happen. I've also got every sympathy with the Station Folk, having lived there myself from 1968 to 1985, things were exactly the same then as is it is now council did nowt.
  6. Keith, It seems to me that different governments have different priorities when it comes to wasting taxpayers money. Unfortunately our lot like setting off Bangers that cost a lot more than a penny in countries where there is lots of oil.
  7. I was lucky enough to visit an open day at Ian Bell motorcycles today and was so impressed with the shop that I feel it deserves a mention on the Bedlington Website. It is good to see a local Business do well, but this one is a credit to the town. The whole set up is so professionly run and laid out,the management and staff should be commended. Apart from Isle of Man TT riders and winners being in attendance there was refreshments and free prize draws available with plenty good crack thrown in! Well done Ian and all the staff.
  8. Pity you had'nt let it run,the next track blows your mind after Wetherspoons!
  9. OK Malcolm, I agree with your first comment, and yes we should applaud anyone who does anything that improves standards in the Town, whoever is responsible for the park should be given all the credit he/she deserves. I'm confused wih The second statement, , The front street of our town has developed into an area no better than an African Township. We've got two slums in the heart of the town and the owners of both have stuffed the council in more ways than one, how long does it take to get bus shelter windows replaced in Bedlington compared to other areas in the County. The Community Centre is now closed and there seems to be no rush to do anything about that, they could'nt manage the Golf Club, there's been irregularities with their pension scheme and the list of not done's is endless. I havn't seen the refreshing professional genuine attitudes yet but look forward to it for the sake of the Town.
  10. Did anybody see Cameron taking the credit for the Olympic stadium being completed before schedule? I didn't realise he was such a good bricklayer, it certainly took the attention away from the phone twiddling activities of his corrupt circle of friends.
  11. Well Malcolm, I'm certainly impressed with this article, who gets the credit for this? Surely it cannot be anyone from the Council, Lets hope it will bring some visitors into the town and then maybe we can compete with the numbers that visit Rothbury Lighthouse every year.
  12. You'll need to get there early Malcolm to grab one of the seats around the perimeter, me being the young lad I'll have the lap dancing table.
  13. Merlin, you'll need to watch your back talking like that,If I were you I'd have the Phone Line checked regularly!!!
  14. Best I've seen yet Malcolm but seriously, I bet the whole rotten to the core lot of them get off scot free
  15. This must be the most badly advertised eatery ever, my wife frequents the place most Thursdays with her mates but can't remember if she got their number from Whitehall or The Kremlin. Allegedly the pub has bit the dust already, It's like a secret society, as iv'e said in previous posts,it seems as though they don't want anyone in there. Must add she says the food is excellent.
  16. Think Fourgee could have missed the point here, the smell in the old Netto's was like S**t hence the toilet rolls.
  17. Sorry you missed him Doc, his next concerts are in Australia January 2012 but they probably couldn't get his gear in the Market Tavern anyway.
  18. Would it still be a problem if they have lap dancers on up there?
  19. Compare the number of customers in the Lion to the numbers in the other watering holes, that should tell us a lot. The pubs in Bedlington were all struggling for custom before the Lion reopened, and now we have a pub where we can get a drink and a bit natter where you don't need to wear a gas mask to avoid the smell of the bogs, and all at decent prices. Lets hope the Lion keeps going because the other traders in the town(shops and everything else) are struggling,I've heard that the badly advertised pub that has recently been reopened at the other end of town has now closed, and another shop in that area is closing soon.I think the Lion has brought trade into the town that wasn't there before so lets keep it, maybe people are flocking in to see that grey haired fella on his laptop!
  20. Not sure if Stokers Buildings is on any of these but they are all Vulcan Place area.
  21. It hasn't worked in Bedlington
  22. It would be nice if we could get the owners of the Church School and Elliots Garage interested!
  23. Wonder if that overcoat of his ends up on That online auction site that is in no way as good as Free Bedlington.co.uk Classifieds?
