I was born in 1944 and lived at the station till 1972 you had to pay money to get in to the Wallaw ,

George Swan had two shops the other one was at the winning his wife ran it.

George swan had the shop before Strakers i used to deliver therein the late 50 s

i left in 1953. and went to Bedlington station Primary school

your sister is right . it was George Swans . the shop next to Beadnalls was Kramers the drapers.

i went to barrington school in 1950

Bedlington station A .PIT. opened in 1838 . and closed in 1971.

Stuarts mother worked for Benny Andrews in the grocery shop. before it became Gerrards cycle shop.

yes you are right we used to have great fun with them

can anybody remember the cardboard milk bottle tops. we used to play a spinning game with them
