Plessey Mill,Hartford.JPG
This photo was posted on Facebook sixtownships site but with no info or the source of the photo. Had a quick Google search but only info on the farm returned and nothing to match the images of the buildings in the photo. The old ordnance survey maps show a Plessey Hall Farm and a Plessey Mill with the Plessey Mill as '(Dis)', that I would take as disused, on the map published in 1954. Proves nothing but filled in half an hour of me time.

Yes but I'll save them for another day. How about :- So this teacher is teaching her junior school class, and she's telling them that the word of the day is 'contagious.' She asks if anyone can use this word in a sentence, and several people stick up their hands. "Carl," she says. Carl says, "My dad told me to stay away from kids with mumps,'cause they're contagious." "Very good," says the teacher. Then she picks Suzie, who says, "The atmosphere was contagious," and the teacher says, "Excellent, Suzie!" Then she notices that Little Johnny has his hand up, at the back of the class. "Yes, Johnny?" she says. Johnny says, "The other day, me and my dad's a-sittin around, and we saw our blonde neighbor painting her fence. She had a tiny little model car paintbrush, and she was going in tiny little strokes up and down the fence, and my dad says to me, "Jesus, it's gonna take that c**t ages to finish that fence."

Old Bedlington Terrier.
Foxy has a photo, dated the 60's, of the old houses just before the Coffin Chapel, in the Gallery Album - Historic Bedlington / Days Gone Around the Town. It's on page 2, 3rd from the end. My dad, Adam Edgar, worked at Hugh Bolckows in the late 60's. You've got me scratching me head now, Albert Hooper - possibly an occasional pint in the Percy Arms?

Was that before or after the 'Coffin chapel' - this old postcard, Coffin chapel bottom right, was posted on one of the Bedlington Facebook sites and a comment was added saying the terraced row, that is now Brook Court, was Hirst Terrace- Wheatsheaf Inn
Lawrence Pattison updated the Facebook post on Bygone Bedlington :-'The Wheatsheaf was my Grandas pub until he got TB [my Mams Dad] .The pub was closed, 1938 or 39, after he died and was then converted into flats .My Grandma got a sweet shop at Bebside opposite the school just past the Asda roundabout.' No update on the 1950's for the date the pub was demolished.- Old Bedlington Terrier.

Uploaded and posted two photos in Bedlington Station 1st school album without any fails- the same two photos I have been attempting for the previous few days. need to find some more photos whilst the going is good! I would suspect that the system was reloaded/refreshed/restarted last night and the 'input areas' for uploading photos cleared out (or increased in size) allowing today's uploads to stored Ok. Off to find some more photos.- The tunnels of Bedlington.
