  1. Not a sausage...... :(

I think the situation relates to the lottery, if you dont apply, you get diddly squat!

For years i complained about winning nothing on the lottery, no-one told me you had to buy a ticket!!!

Same goes for this handout, if you diddnt apply, dont expect the thud of a cheque anytime soon...

  2. Hats off to ICHIBAN MARTIAL ARTS who took a few hours of their time to organise a sponsered bag pack.

ICHIBAN, Formed in Bedlington a few years ago got together students of all ages and trooped down to ASDA BLYTH during their activity week last wednesday and completed a sponsered bag pack, donating every penny raised to ASDA's cancer fundraising efforts.

ASDA's colleague Ann Herne (i appologise if spelling is wrong, i will check and edit later) unfortunatly fell victim to this terrible diesese a while ago, and since then ASDA and the local community have come out in force, raising now over £2000 for cancer research.

So, If you are passing ASDA sometime soon, and you see the collection buckets out, please donate what you can, and help ASDA, Ichiban and the local community beat Cancer, once and for all.

  3. Believe me i have tried to cut down on my refuse but i still end up with mountains, suppose i could let thee kids make some junk models and get the council to display there works of art :)

    this i cant believe...

does anyone know te full extent of what can be recycled?

the black bin should be quater full by the time a green bin is filled with recyclable items.

remember, when washed, i believe all tins, bottles (milk, pop, household cleaners, etc.) plastic, paper, card, and many more items can now be recycled, leaving food waste, the contents of 'henry' (the hoover) and maybe something else for the black bin.

can anyone elaborate on these lists? as i believe many people just dont know!

remember, all clothing, glass and paper can also be taken to your local recycling center... a great day out for you, and the kids! :D

in a nutshell, Bigger Green Bins please Mr Prime Minister!!!!

And more collections from home for those incapable (or just too bliddy lazy) of going to recycling points!

(Maybe a Phone and Collect service?????)

  4. I would just like to say to any parent thinking of placing there child in bedlington bears then do it, the childcare there is second to none, with jamie oliver meals the kids get to sample fine food too as well as bringing home lovely pictures for mummy, keep up the good work bears :)

i agree with the mince pie sandwich, used to get them from dopey micks all the time!

best sarnie has to be, a sunday dinner sarnie...

i used to work sundays and love sunday dinners, so a large stottie got sliced in two, in went yorkshire pudding, meat, peas, carrots, sprouts, gravy and the main ingredient....mashed potato.... MMmmMMmmmMMm!!!!!!!!

  6. Howay then Mr Darn - you'll have to invite the lads on a fishing trip!

not a problem! anyone who fancies trying out sea fishing from a boat, let me know, and we'll sort something out.

as i stated in the 'wanted' ad, we are not commercial, but we can take people out for pleasure purposes. a small donation towards fuel is always gratefully recieved! (or it runs on red diesel if you have a supply!)

normally we go out for about 6-8 hours at a time, but longer trips have been known on occasion!

i also have a phone number for a guy who takes parties out commercially, but it'll cost you, as it's a living for him.

  7. any news? or can we just post 'wanted' ads in here?

basically, i'm a small fishing boat owner. i need a new ship to shore radio, more rods would be nice, as well as reels.

anyone know anywhere, or anyone, get in touch!

    (use the sites PM function!)

  8. They'll get well watered late at night. And decorated with kebab wrappers.

i found it quite ammusing yesterday, whilst driving to work after using a few bottles of evian and a watering can to get washed and shaved, a bloke stood on the back of a wansbeck council van ( the one with the big bowser on and a 'petrol pump' type hose)

WATERING THE FLOWERS outside peoples houses, while they were at the market place fighting for water!!!

    i wish i'd had a camera!!

  9. Anyone else notice the steaming pile of last nights take-away still in the bottom of the toilet?

for some reason that endless supply of water i have come to rely on has suddenly dried up!

    Anyone got any clues?

<---gets the mineral water supply out of the garage...

  10. On the other hand you'd happily pay to publish it in the local rag. And... would you buy from some anonymous handle on the Internet?

maybe so, but i named myself Mr Darn because i dont want people to know who i am whilst chatting on the website. as i stated before, i will happily leave my details with site admin, who can confirm my identity, so long as it is not revealed. my name i dont mind, but not my address or telephone number.

although, this information will, of course, be shared with anyone who wants to buy from me, or sell to me. i just dont want everyone in the world to know my details.:blink::unsure:

  11. is it still not working?

or has my 'wanted' ad been declined?

or has it just not been 'assessed' yet?

can we have another option other than using an 01670 number?

my number is ex directory because i get hastle from all the women i've dumped over the years hastling me for 'one last try' or offers of 'no commitment, just a game of hide the sausage' (believe that, you'll believe anything!)

i'll happily supply a 01670 number to the admins of this site, so long as the number is not made public.

it'll even have an 8 and a 2 at the begining!!!

  12. I was talking the other day, to a chap that watches CCTV for a living.

On one of his screens ia a picture of some ATM machines.

A lad, being rather peeved at being refused sale of alcopop, promptly opened hiz zip, and proceeded to urinate all over the cash producing mechanisms.

    The police were promptly called.

They appeared some 3 hours later, watched the footage, then looked at this operator in a confused way.

"what would you like us to do?" they asked

    heres the good bit....

apparently, because the young adult was in the blyth valley area, was not under the influence of alcohol, was not shouting or bawling, and because his genitals were not shown on the CCTV footage their is absolutly NOTHING the police can do!

Apparently it is only a bylaw in other areas that was not applied to Blyth,

so as long as your not :

1, drunk or under the influence

    2, showing nudity to bystanders

3, acting in an abusive or threatening manner

    or

4, causing permanant damage to property

you can Piddle ANYWHERE you like in Blyth!

Is the rules the same for bedlington? coz if it is, i want that verbal caution i recieved for piddling in the old gas shop doorway promptly revoked from my record!!!

i take it no-one knows what the law states?

maybe a new section is needed outlining the by-laws in bedlington, just so we all know...

    surely thats a bedlington-related topic?

  15. not even 10 minutes ago i was just discussing the delights of the place...

the one vivid memory i have of the domino was standing near the front door, on the uppermost landing (where the tables where). it happened the same every time, a loud shout, a breakage of glass then the 'mexican wave' of bodies all piling in for a piece of the action.

was a great viewpoint, never did find out if anyone got badly hurt.

the wave nearly always started at the right hand bar at the bottom of the 'chill-out room' staircase, moved accross the middle landing where the pillars were, back again, then down onto the dancefloor.

    ahhhh, the good old days!

  16. Had a bag of salt and vinegar Chipsticks for dinner - may have to have an onion and a Cornetto later.

i had one of those giant strawberry sweets today, my nephew brought a big bag of em in...

10p each nowerdays those... or you can get a smaller version of the old mouthfull for 6p.

ahhh, the days of ha'penny sweets are long gone! i remember handing over 1p one day and getting 4 sweets back!

oopps! domino???? my bad, diddnt see that bit...

  17. anyone else seen that offer AOL gives out about the free o2 sim cards?

i applied thinking it was a scam, and now i got 4 brand new sim cards with sequential numbers and nothing to do with them!
