I GOT THE JOB - sort of.
Now I know what to do folks. You tick the transgender box, turn up for the interview in fishnet stockings and six-inch stillettos, dab a smattering of Steetwalker56 under your armpits and talk in a husky voice. Works a charm. Mind you my ankles are killing me.
No, seriously, I start my induction next week and hopefully start work soon after. (There is a lot of paper work and red tape to sort out in between.) Cheers to all.
Well done marra, where will you be working

I went for a interview ( herdsmans job) and was asked if I swore a lot. I told him to f*** right off . I got the job .

The Rev Savage; can't recall the male name, but it's now Helen, and she is a wine correspondent who often appears on Radio Newcastle.
He / she also had the wine review column in Saturdays Journal

I wondered how long it would be before Gorbachev's love child waded in with his opinion .

The one at the station was in Keenleysides. I had a lot to say about on here at the time. It was a complete waste of time, space and effort. Nothing more than a table top sale, selling tat. I walked in once and not a single stall was manned. Usually those places are buzzing but this was a bunch of sour faced stall holders that weren't even talking to each other.

All of you are wrong, the old school is were the new Top Club will be built !! It will be an amalgamation of the top club and market place club ,with provision for the station club to re-locate. This "super club" will have a committee who will run the entire social scene of Bedlington. Bouncers will be employed to chuck troublemakers (local planners) to the dogs that will be kennelled where the old bogs were located below the school wall. All drinks will be less that £1. This will force all of the other pubs out of business A Blyth businessman will then buy the former boozers and transform them into super homes for old codgers and retired (and forced to retire) councillors.

Was listening to them arguing the toss on the Jeremy Vine show the other day. They both claim to have come out on top after the debate.

Tommy Easton did move over the road Keith. He started over there after Bower Grange was built then became the Spar. As far as I remember he added the post office, the fuel pumps came later. Nothing was too much bother for that fella and he always spoke to everyone like they were all his friends.

Guess what breed of dog won.......... well done Craig and Izzi!
To be honest Malcolm, it comes as no surprise that a competition for best of breed ( in a group of Bedlington terriers ) was won by .... a Bedlington Terrier !!

I've seen them before from the north coast of Scotland but nothing as dramatic as the sight from here the other night. Even from the Hazelrigg estate there was some terrific pictures.
-
What happens to them though ? Someone has been caught on cctv looking through windows. They have been identified by witnesses and the police but no further action is to be taken (insufficient evidence) despite the fact he has been prosecuted for the same offence before.

I used to manage to get into the Bank top when about 16 or 17 Tommy Richardson had it then. Anne was the barmaid and she was there for donkeys years. John Exton had the Railway and took no crap from anyone. Tommy Tait was in the Clayton. I can remember Margaret & Bob Nesbit in the Percy (his brother was of Millican & Nesbit fame )I did get in there before they ran the place but cant remember the previous names. When Spike had the Percy (High House as many called it )rumour had it that if you won a domino card you had the choice of the money or 10 minutes upstairs with his Mrs (or barmaid) !!
