After a quick chat with one of the work men today on my way past apparently it is being turned into commercial offices. Not sure if these are like the enterprise park rent-a-space offices or offices for one company.

The council closed the place because they were running the place at a loss and from what I hear couldn't see past the end of their noses for better ideas for the place. Glad that the night went well and a venue in Bedlington being used for the purposes intended.

I've personally noticed a decrease in the number of cars that appear to be heavily modified and hanging around in car parks to 3 and 4 years ago. May be the price of fuel, people having more sense or police clamping down on anti-social behaviour in and around car parks throughout the north east. Still get the odd one that will drive like a tool however.

I don't think it has been sold but I do remember someone saying that there is a new tenant due to move in there but they couldn't say who the tenant was or the premise of the business. Figured when they replaced the sash where the old cash machine was that it was the case.

Well I was proud when Boro were playing the other week and 9 of the 11 players that they fielded were from their own academy. It is the way forward and the only way, we as a nation are going to succeed in national competitions. Instead of investing massive amounts of money into foreign players they should be funding local youngsters from each club and have players that are proud to wear the shirt of the teen dreams rather than a half arsed foreign player who is there because the money is right. It is the only way any club is going to be able to run a financially sustainable club in the future.

Not sure if this is relevant in this thread but it kind of seemed right. Tesco offering permanent night shift for Job Seekers In a sense Tescos are defrauding the government (and in turn you and I, since I don't expect the tax I pay to in part be used to stack the shelves of Tescos who are a private limited company who seek to maximise profit for shareholders) because they are fully capable of footing the bill to employ these people. They're getting labour without cost from the government the same as some fraudsters get money from the government when they aren't entitled to it. What they should be doing is offering the positions as jobs, not for JSA, because JSA is paid out of the taxes you and I pay, just the same as benefits are to people who are committing fraud. This would in turn be of benefit to the individuals and society/government statistics as the number of unemployed would decrease! It doesn't benefit individuals to be obliged to work for Tesco's, it prevents them from spending time searching for proper, permanent positions, denys others of the opportunity to be employed in Tescos positions themselves and only benefits Tescos who don't have to pay to have their shelves stacked. ......and it goes beyond Tesco. http://www.boycottworkfare.org/?page_id=16 Holland & Barrat, HMV, Argos, TKMaxx, PriMark, Boots, McDonalds, a couple of Councils etc. etc. Interesting that some have replaced redundant staff with workfare placements, but hey its ok, they can sign on for their JSA and get their old jobs back for a fraction of the wage they were earning! Well....there were two police vans and two police cars outside there t'other day with a lot of people outside and a vaccuum cleaner. I didn't say it wasn't a good idea and I would definitely use it, like Malcolm says it's getting the idea about how beneficial it is into the minds of other people. More accessible and with the announcement of the HSBC shipping out there will definitely be a need for it. The only thing I have ever struggled with is getting access to my money outside of normal hours when I am at work, I have usually had to take time off to go into the office. I really like the idea

I have had a loan through the local Credit Union in Ashington and I can't fault the service at all. It's going to be available to anyonr that currenty has the option of FTTC....the more relevant question is how much your willing to pay for 300Mbps as it will be on demand. I know for sure that 80/15 would be suffice without opting to pay for different cables to the house.

John, The maximum file size that you can upload and attach to a post is 6Mb so you would probably have to upload it to the likes of Youtube or Vimeo first and then past the link it into this thread. You will of course have to register an account before you can upload a video to either of the sites.
