  2. It was a sunday....day of rest and all. H&S officers must have been at church.
  3. aye, i do hope that poor lad had some help throughout the day. He was there by himself with his toffee hammer when i went past in the morning. :-)
  4. Glad to see that munchie moo's and silver cells are under way. That god awful render on munchie moo's was an absolute eye sore.
  5. I'm all for a bit of hard graft and have done my fair share but purposely putting your health at risk for the benefit of employment is crazy. Why don't you get a job as a one man band asbestos removal firm....much like the two lads that were doing elliott's roof with jumpers over their faces and claw hammers. Yes the decline of the mining industry has devastated the area but like has already been said I would rather have the cleaner environment we have now. I never experienced it but have stood and watched someone close suffer the consequences of working in the Ashington colliery and wouldn't wish it on anyone!
  6. When you copy text from a word document you also copy the formatting that the text is in. When you paste text elsewhere, generally the formatting is copied to the new location along with the text. The forum software that Bedlington.co.uk uses is intelligent and recognises formatting of text as if it were a word document. When you paste into work you can select if you want to keep the formatting of the text you have just pasted by using the formatting icon that has appeared. See image below: It is a classic case of the computer thinking it knows what you want to do rather than letting you get on with your own devices. If you are pasting from various sources into Bedlington it will copy the formatting from each of the locations so if I wanted to copy text from a word document which I have collated from various website sources, it will appear on here with each of the different typefaces from each of the sources. May clear things up or it may confuse you lot but you could always compile everything in Microshaft Word then copy it to notepad to remove the formatting then copy from notepad to Bedlington or just leave it to it's own devices. Personally I would just collate it straight into Bedders and use the formatting tools within the forum text formatting box. It is rather intuitive and generally does alot of the hard work for you.

    Tesco's

To be honest I think an expansion wouldn't be worth it. I have never been in there and had to wait in a queue of more than 3 people. Can't see it attracting people away from Asda in Blyth and Kingston Park for the loyalist Tesco shoppers. We use it as a drop-in to save going out in the car and for stuff that is much of a muchness like the bairns foods etc. No need for an expansion at all.
  8. I would like the lime pointing ones and there is a sash window making course on the site however doesn't look like it is being run at the moment according to your .pdf. I would have a go at most of them though if they were available.
  9. Can we have a sarcasm button put into the reply box somewhere. It always seems to get lost somewhere between me typing and clicking post
  10. Seen this in The Journal this morning. Have they really got nothing else to do with their time? Not like setting a picnic table on fire in the wettest months since records began could be an accident. Definitely puts a dampener (bum tissh) on the efforts the rest of the community is putting in to rejuvenate the area. Something for the kids at Gallagher Park perhaps to keep them occupied?
  11. Where's the station? Glad to see that the pharmacy and munchie moo's are planned for renovation according to the stars on the map.
  12. Ashley Young....that is pretty much all I can say on the matter. Every time he got the ball he gave it away, looked out of his league and his penalty confirmed that. Should never have started mr potato head, he was shocking in previous games. Milner looked shattered in the first half. Oxlade-Chamberlain and Walcott starting when we were on the offensive would have been better. Defence were awesome all night but we had absolutely nothing going forward. Surprised we made it out of the group stages to be honest.
  13. brother was hit by this....they certainly know how to fill people with confidence these bankers with a 'w'
  14. I used to sit in there during the day for a short while whilst in my last job. Alas, don't really have the time at the moment. I shall persist and attempt to connected to the chat popped out so that I can see people coming into the chat room throughout the day :-)

  17. I was planning on going down with the camera but alas I shall be at work whilst all of this is going on.
  18. You put this as an announcement malcolm?
  19. heh, I wouldn't take that sort of pay cut ever!
  20. Front Street East. Where are you, station? I personally am waiting for other FTTC providers to come into the area as I can't stand BT. It shouldn't be too long before we can get service from another ISP.
  21. Got a samsung galaxy tab at work to play with in a couple of weeks time. I still don't see the point of them in my life. Laptop for mobile purposes or desktop for everything else....when the office isn't too cold that is
  22. Just about everything we produce is exported!!! We're major consumers but the majority of our consumption is of imported goods.
  23. Congratulations on the first event going so well. Hopefully it will continue to generate more interest and become a popular event.
