    If thats the case, whats the big deal with using loads? and what advantage does this "bag for life" have?

    there bigger, stronger, dont dig into your fingers and if you shop at TESCO they give points for using them (unlike asda!)

    and another thing that fn advert lies! ofcourse my supermarket would say there cheaper as asda owns the web site!

    Come on bedlington! HAving seen the lion slowly disintergrate through bad management I gladly welcome the return of the pub ! i mean if it had been turned into flats that would have been the end of the street and the end of the town. I cannot wait til its 8 deep at the bar again, so i can go further down and wait till it gets a bit quieter :D

    8 deep not mean a total of 8! :lol:

    The Ridge Farm has never been great, it's just cheap.

    The Three Horse Shoes is far superior. Apart from the real ale buffs who get in.

    :wtf: the three horse shoes is disgusting! i got steak pie and chips and would honestly say i would rather eat the dogs bait!! the chips where soggy and the pie tasted like netto tinned steak! not to mention a choked on the side helping of veg! there was food all over the floor and cutlery down the back of the seats. proper stinkin! the prices are stupid like accolade only the food is probably a lot more edible from accolade!

    the ridge farm may not be the best but i've never really had much to complain about while being there. the astley arms beats them both! 3.50 for a carvery and it tastes alright to!

    what about setting up an internet radio station first just to see if it actually gets listeners? save you loads on licences and equipment! ;)

    plus is'nt fm radio being turned off soon? as apart of the digital switch over!

    £11k is the first amount we are aiming for to stage a test broadcast. £57k is the estimated cost to get us to being able to apply for a full time licence.

    do you not think its an insult that they offered £300 each when they can waste thousands on rubbish statues and cycle paths that never get used!

    a radio station would be a much better use of that money!

    One of these days the "man-made global warming" lobby will make the perfectly obvious connection between solar activity and Earth temperatures. But, for now at least, why let the obvious stand in the way of making a political statement?

    that article had nowt to do with climate change more a "knowing" event.

    might be worth a ttrip to john o groats or the shetlands to watch the northern lights!

    scary to think we could be wiped out by a sun fart! :blink::lol:

    Now to use the Suse live-boot USB stick I just created to rescue a poor deluded Windows user who's registry has just gone TU! Let's see if Suse can restore it from a backup (yes - amazingly, there is a fairly recent backup!) without having to seek out a Windoze rescue disk. Or - like yer average Windows user - reformat and re-install with total data loss! :lol:

    you can actually get similar products for windows!
