Just been watching the news and some poor kid (11 year old) has been shot in the head and has died in hospital. Apparently a lad went by on his bike and fired 3 times towards the group of kids playing football. Is it just me or is there more and more people being killed randomly with guns - or is it just being reported more often?

The poor old chep thought he'd been hit with a stone, apparently people had been hounding him for a while... So what should have happened to the kid then? Anyone got any better ideas as to what should be done to kids throwing sausages, or do you think the police did the right thing?

It's true Mr Darn, they have a little park there, it's been there for years now. At the weekends theres football on too, and I've seen kids teams playing there on a few occasions. I went a couple of weeks ago and I saw a huge hare, I didnt realise they were so big! Then again it was sitting at the top of the hill which probably made it look even bigger! I saw a fox once too, mind it was dead but still... There's lots of nice wild flowers, they dont last long though because the grass cutters come around every so often. You should get yourself away up there sometime, when you get your camera you never know, you might even get some decent photos.

I agree, I think thats why they looked so small to me - because of the huge white structure they stand on. The fact that it's bright white doesn't help either.

Malcolm, how do you know she's got a thong on? Thats just the hem of the jeans, besides any women would be hard pressed to find a pair of full knickers these days. I know what you mean though, I wondered if they were supposed to represent people of the north, with the cap and the miserable faces! But at least we can say we have something different!

I see a few pubs have installed benches / tables / umbrellas outside now for the smokers.

I went to see them yesterday, I was expecting them to be a bit bigger than they were.

It's the whole point for me; If Bedlington has nothing different to any other town in England, then whats so special? As for the pubs, what marks Bedlington out there is the fact that we have so many and yet their always empty.

I have a question: Why are some shops closed half day on a Wednesday?

I don't know... every town has plenty of the above. It doesn't really make Bedlington any different from anywhere else, does it?.
