  1. If you had the idea I was having a go, I wasn't! The remark about 'islamic activists' was a shot at our own in house islamic activists that are no longer gracing us with their presence on this forum! I agree it is the minority of muslims that are to blame.

In your original post you mention colour and creed and religion.this has been said by me many times on here and, that, I also have no problem with this. Everybody can come to this island, they can come till it sinks for all I care, but when they do come they obey our laws, whats good for me is good for them, and if they don't like it well.................................

  2. Ashington Blyth AND Blyth??? :D

The work on Blyth store starts end of march/early april. as for ashington, i've never heard any rumours...

Read it properly and you'll get the gist! I meant that Asda Ashington and Blyth in context to his reference to distance concerning Tesco, Bedlington and Morpeth! I don't think I mentioned anything about any work being done at Asda Ashington.

  3. why would backworth or Bewick give a damn, your right why would they i was just names places south north and west of Northumberland. no need for sarcasim to be houset, "just realised northumberland is huge" i was trying to explain the seer size of the task at hand. and compaired to durham where i go regulaur and have been snowed in!!! (20miles from Bedlington and snowed in) due to there crap gritters (motor way girtters and spread more grit on the foot path than the road) . we didnt do to bad over all there was always a main road open.

The size of the county has nothing to do with it which is exactly my point! We pay, they do and it should not take phone complaints to achieve this service! It should be taken as given! The task at hand was Bedlington NOT Northumberland! Or Durham or anywhere for that matter but Bedlington

  4. they did a cracking job, the sent digger around the estate, freeing up the roads and then come along with a little tractor and ploughed the paths they done a cracking job. seen them doing this couple times.

people morn on about it some times but people seem to froget Northumberland is HUGE streching from Backworth to Kielders to Bewick its a huge oporation sorting all the roads out and then to sort out the estates on top.

they tractors were working late into the night when i finished work at 10.30 there was a tractor ploughing the Tescos Car park. got to say BIG thanks to the counciel and all the hard working people that helped to keep the regoin (most of the time) lol

Bullsh*t! Tesco's car park, the driver must of had a right laugh he made it like a go-kart track, I had to drive about 2 mile to get from one end of the car park to the other  So you just realised that Northumberland is huge well I'm afraid to tell you this but it's been like that for years, and if you think that Backworth or Bewick give a damn about little old Bedlington Town you are seriously mistaken :D It's their job for gods sake, it's what we pay for and it should not have taken them as long to sort it! If they were hard working well it makes a change :o

  5. I've listened to The Legends(Real Radio) on my comp for years. Well last night sat down as usual, logged in clicked to listen live and was surprised to get a message that I was using an unauthorised UK service provider and as such it was illegal for Real Radio to provide me with a listen live service! If I thought this was wrong I was to contact the radio station through their help page. Needless to say it doesn't exist. So sent a message through their contact us link, stating that I was with AOL and have had no problems in the past! So what is the problem? They replied with this:-

Due to licensing restrictions we are unable to allow listeners to accessour stream from outside the UK. See the answer from our FAQ section below... "I'm in the UK and I get a voice coming out of my speakers telling me"The stream is not available outside of the UK", so how do I listen? If you are a UK resident, you will be seeing this because your InternetProvider is routing traffic via another country. AOL are known to dothis. This is also common for large companies to route traffic through a"head office" in another country if they are a particularly largecompany. Unfortunately, licensing restrictions mean we are unable to resolve someof these issues at the moment, but we are constantly looking for newmethods to provide our streams to all UK residents." We are constantly looking at ways around this. We provided an update toour software only yesterday. If I could ask you to keep your eyes onthis and hopefully this will be resolved in the near future. So what do I do now? Do I complain to Aol, I mean I'm paying for a service and I can't even access a local radio station. Did these licencing laws just come in yesterday. Whats going on? Any Ideas?

  6. Well its quite simple ........... ask them where they consider HOME to be ? and if its in another country send them there... Dont get me wrong I,m not racist in fact I have no problems with other nationalities coming here what ever religion creed or colour as long as there are WORKING and not sponging of us or using ALLAH gives us these benefits as an excuse for being bone idle lazy.... and its about time someone in the houses of parliment stood and said so..

Well sizsells you will find that you are racist, because you are echoing most of my views and I have been branded the most racist pig that ever graced Bedlington forum. I'll be very surprised if you don't get abuse! There again the islamic activists no longer grace us with their presence! I'm not getting started because I said all this 30yrs ago, the people in power will do nothing until it is too late and then it won't be their fault!

  7. Understood Symptoms! Bennies catchment is vast, as far away as Berwick, some of the pupils are on the school bus at half six for a nine o'clock start. Bennies reputation as THE school in Northumberland is surpassed by none! If your kids or anyone else's kids can get in there they will get an education second to none. I have nothing but high praise for this school! Wish I had gone there myself!

  8. nope not at all just pointing out the lack of ambition we have. Ok let's say there already is the "right number of stores for this area" I doubt that a population of 15,400 would be too small to serve one store so mcds must think that people will travel to get to stores in the surrounding towns. So... I'd be giving BK/KFC a ring and pointing out that if mcdonalds are right and people will travel that distance why not stick a store in the geographic centre of these towns (Bedlington) and serve all 5?

Don't think it's lack of ambition, just a bit of a reality check, it's never going to happen, go on be truthful!

  9. Well your Avitar has a certain resemblence, do you look like it in real life

Not one of your top priorities :o typical girlie comment :D

Seriously though, Man U, Liverpool, Man City etc have in excess of £200 million + invested in players going to the world cup, if Africa cannot protect these players then clubs will not and should not allow these players to travel. These clubs will be panicking and creaming their knickers at the prospect of losing millions of pounds

  10. Because nobody scrolls down to the sports bit!

Thats life! You Ester Rantzen or summit. It seems that security is in question here, if they can't control their own nations tournament how the hell are they going to cope with all the countries in the world cup? As for England we would cease to exist as a football nation in FIFA's eyes. Our chances of hosting the world cup would be put back indefinatly!

  11. This should probably be in the sports bit, but since nobody shifted the darts........

Breaking news. A coach carrying playing staff was attacked by gunmen today at the African Nations Cup. Coach driver was shot and killed and four other people on the coach have been injured. More later.

This throws into question the world cup next year. Should it still go ahead? Will clubs that have invested millions of pounds on players allow these players to travel if their safety is in question? What would happen if this had happened in England? Your thoughts please.
