As reported in The Journal, Wansbeck Council have sold the Golf Club for £500,000 As quoted by Bedlington councillor Brian Richmond, "We will now be pressing the Northumberland unitary authority to reinvest the sale proceeds in this area." By `area`, does councillor Richmond mean Bedlington? or Newbiggin/Ashington? So...does this mean that Bedlington is finally going to get some much needed facilities? or is it just wishfull thinking on my part?

When i passed it a few hours ago there were no lights on or signs of life so i`m guessing it`s closed. I might be wrong though.
