  1. Read about those but never saw one! We used a L shaped 1/4" rod with a split in the end...
  2. No, it's true! we've had enough and sending whats left, it'll be there soon.
  3. Brian, If they cannot find it I'll send them some, we have more than enough here, along with some cold weather, should be there in a couple of weeks. (-29c right now)
  4. HPW Blueprints were made in a similar process to photographs, I used them a lot, new prints made my hands itch.
  5. HPW #53 according to the boss, but she cannot mind where Fen worked as he didn't work in the last few years.
  6. Fen and his wife Lilly also had a daughter Brenda, (she had twins) I believe Brian has since passed away. Jimmy had two children Robert and Elizabeth .
  7. My wife Doreen said there was a Fenwick (Fen) Redpath who used to live next door to her at 2 Holymount Square.
  8. Hi HPW, I ended up with a 2010 Ford Escape (I got to know it when working in the jail!) final decision was that it was top of the line with loads of rebates and a retire- your-ride program (designed to get older less efficient vehicles off the road) ($7,000 total) my short list had three similar vehicles. My daughter and grande daughter both have the newer versions. AWD was a must because of our weather and location. BUT Doreen has only been in it twice! it isn't the most accessible for anyone with mobility issues! So we use the 2001 Ford Windstar van as our primary vehicle as the seats are quite high and the floor is level and no ledge, no foot-well, tailgate opens fully to access her folding walker, again a level floor and no edge to lift over, the floor level is a major factor depending on your wife's mobility! lots of room for the groceries. The Vauxhall Zafira is not available here,(I Googled it) but I'd look at it's accessability befor performance (within reason) will you need ramps etc, would a trailer be practical! open/ closed, plenty for you to think about. Are there any government programs you can access? Vic
  9. Decorum! she was too drunk for any decorum at this meeting. They had to drag her off the stage! http://www.cbc.ca/1.3069089

  14. Thank you Eggy, this will do for me, I'll play around with it for now, I've had some success cleaning up old family photo's, like you my desktop is collecting dust, it stopped connecting to the internet but I'm reluctant to get rid of it as it is my back up for pictures and music, it has my photoshop type programs on it etc but one day...
  15. It would be nice if Jim could share the original photo. It might help identification.

  21. Thank you Pete, Thanksgiving is the U.S. and Canadian equivalent of Harvest Festival,( I think!) The end of the general harvesting for most farmers. Usually celebrated with a turkey dinner and family. Heating is turned on, winter tyres on the vehicles, snow shovels at the ready, snowblower all primed!
  22. Thank you CL, yes it's here to stay, we had our first snowfall in town October 1st, but the ground wasn't frozen then, it is now and it has been snowing three days and it's starting to accumulate, supposed to warm up this week!
