  5. Thank you John, but unfortunately it is only the electronic version, (need a Kindle reader) still no luck locating a hard copy.
  6. Where is the book available online? I've tried my usual sources, Abebooks.com and Amazon.com without success. Good luck but sorry Paul, just can't make it on the 27th!
  7. Looks like an April 1st prank to me! no one in their right minds would believe that those stakes are stabilizing the headstones especially the double staked one! (how could it possibly fall sideways!) Is this their "due diligence†protecting any potential vandals!
  8. Hi Tessi, I have always called the woods by Hartford Hall Plessey Woods, (junction of A192, Shields Road and A1068) they used to have a motor hill climb there!
  9. Over the stepping stones turn right! right!

  13. Thank you all for the birthday wishes and kind thoughts, (wasn't sure I'd see another one!) Brian it's never too cold! it almost got up to 0c today AND it didn't even snow (yet!) Thanks again everyone!
  14. Disappointed! no streaming link! I hope it's going well!
  15. I like driving fast! but I don't! (animals, weather and now retired, and partially fuel costs!) school zones are a must to be speed controlled but other roads should be assessed on their safety, construction, noise, weather, environment, traffic flow etc, driving fast on a slow road and slow on a fast road can be equally dangerous! BTW what are the U.K. age restriction for drivers? old and young.
  16. It was my understanding that the 70 mph speed limit was introduced to control fuel economy! and safety was just a coincidental spin off! I believe most drivers are courteous and generally obey the speed limits but some drivers will always believe they are above the law and will continue to drive reckless, speed and cause accidents but unfortunately aren't usually the victims! in my opinion they are the ones that should be targeted and have their vehicles confiscated! Yes many areas should have their speed limits reviewed and adjusted and not just be a cash cow!
  17. Looking forward to the start, where can we find a link and what is the schedule? will this be it? www.synergyradio.co.uk
  18. Congratulations John..... when will it be streaming?
  19. Would this be the one Brian!
  20. first one 1950's DeSoto! or Chevy!
  21. Have a happy birthday Canny lass!
  22. Thank you Canny lass, no I'm not a grower just a eater! my Father-in-law used to be a grower, (Market place club, Blue Bell etc) his seedling growing rituals used to start just after the Xmas in the greenhouse, here our outdoor growing season is too short but we can occasionally buy them in the grocery store, they are pretty small, we chop, bag and freeze them! I remember that there were different judging standards around the area, if your leeks were too large or too small for your local club they would ask their Marra to put them in their club! I think you had to register early to try and stop this, the prizes were pretty good for the 50's and 60's TV,s etc one of the sneaky ploys was to "try†and sneak into a rivals garden and water or feed their leeks to make them split!

  24. Funny Count Ferdinand von Zeppelin never mentioned it I was trying to be polite by pointing out that Germany would not be testing an "aircraft" as such three years before the Wright brothers first controlled, powered flight in 1903! but in 1900 they were in fact "floating" around in airships or "dirigibles"
  25. #10, Zeppelin (airship, Write brothers first flight 1903!)
