1) Dangerous because some idiot would try going down one and end up killing themselves. 2) Environmentally unfriendly all the water from the shaft would rise and flood more areas with highly acidic and toxic water. 3) Gases a open shaft with no water in would cause a build up of highly toxic and flammable gases. 4) Government policy they would not reopen a mine shaft for fear somebody buys the area sticks headgear up and starts mining coal .

Herbert Lom made the pink panther funny in my opinion, yes Peter Sellers did very well with acting in it but Herbert Lom made it more entertaining. He will be missed by many.

Voted for and i must say that all the members of Friends of Gallagher Park have done a great job with making the park more accessible as well as the over groups involved, we need more people to help with things like that. Everybody helps, the more the merrier.

Forget planners, consultants and the politics it should have been done before now. How much money is going to be lost on morpeth flooding, insurance etc. I bet it is more then what it would have cost to build the flood defences.

A sad moment was announced early this afternoon (26th september) that Andy Williams has Died after a year long battle with cancer. I would like to say that i am a fan of Andy William's music and he will be sadly missed, Rest In Peace Andy Williams.
