Hi Brian,
Would that be 1961?
On 20-21 June 1961 the first non-stop UK - Australia flight was made by a Vulcan of 617 Squadron. The flight involved three aerial refuellings
(FWIW I was in Wolongong 1994, nice museum!)
Yes Vic 1961 sounds good the Vulcan was a great aircraft and it was good to see it fly over us, Wollongong is a great city i have not been back there for a few years now...........cheers Vic

A long time ago i can remember a Vulcan flying over our home in Wollongong N.S.W, when we lived there, it was on a non stop flight around the world i can't remember the year i know i was fairly young at the time...good memory

The Ridge Farm has never been great, it's just cheap.
The Three Horse Shoes is far superior. Apart from the real ale buffs who get in.
Whats does the menu have on it I might try it when we come back next year.cheers Denzel.

hello Brian, You are probably a younger generation person so I can understand what your saying regarding the decor of the Bank Top but me being of the older sort I was talking about the beer which pubs usually sell. It was a free house and sold some nice ale.
Hi Doglover Believe me i am not of the younger generation but the atmosphere in the bank top was bad ........
-
Does it swing past Hervey Bay ?
-
The last time i was in the Bank Top it was areal *hit hole couldn't wait to get out ........so i can understand it closing..
-
still don't mean its going to open! they could just as quickly sell it next week!
if it does open the other pubs will quickly shut down! great
Cheep beer = more p!ss heeds!
more p!ss heeds = More fights, spew puddles and pizza boxes
You could be right Monsta but maybe not ...i am optimistic but then i dunno

IMHO several of the players appeared to be a arrogant prima donnas who didn't give the effort they could and should have, that being said instead of tying the game 2-2 at half time they are 3-1 down this makes it a totally different game tactically.
I would suggest the FA do as they did in 1926 and disassociate themselves from FIFA until the latest technology available is adopted, I believe FIFA need the FA (or England, Mexico and Ireland etc) more than the FA need FIFA! Take a look at Tennis, Cricket, Football and Hockey, those games have been greatly improved because of use of modern technology.
Sounds logical to me Vic but will the old guard adopt it .........

They seem to have a fear of the Germans when they play them i am glad our forebears didn't have the same problem during the wars ..........
-
Well they have done it again why does England do so badly against the Germans 4-1 disgusting....

One hot summer day, a blonde came to town with her dog, tied it under the shade of a tree, and headed into a restaurant for something cold to drink.
Twenty minutes later, a policeman entered the restaurant and asked, 'Who owns the dog tied under that tree outside?'
The blonde said it was hers.
'Your dog seems to be in heat,' the officer said.
The blonde replied, 'No way. She's cool 'cause she's tied up under that shade tree.'
The policeman said, 'No! You don't understand. Your dog needs to be bred.'
'No way,' said the blonde. 'My dog doesn't need bread. She isn't hungry 'cause I fed her this morning.'
The exasperated policeman said, 'NO! You don't understand. Your dog wants to have sex!'
(You gotta love this) ....
The blonde looked at the cop and said, 'Well, go ahead. I always wanted a police dog.'
