  1. What would I say to him..."pick your lampost."
  2. Have a good one, Brian. Is it a big one down under - I mean birthday of course.
  3. Has anybody clocked this Panstarrs comet yet. It is a beautiful clear night, the moon is visible and the comet should be above it to the right, but I can't see diddly squat. AAARRRGGGHHH!
  4. Have you got their phone numbers, Malcolm?
  5. HALLELUJAH - GUINEVERE IT IS Well done Malcolm. Ava Gardner in Knights of the Round Table Vanessa Redgrave in Camelot (Julie Andrews appeared in stage version, with Richard Burton!!!) Cherie Lunghi in Excalibur Keira Knightley in King Arthur. Another one coming soon.
  6. I went online to have a look at it. (See link) and it looks kinda posh. They say they do meals during the day. But what's the clientele like? Is it Red Lion or Clayton Arms? (Can't imagine the latter.) I mean I don't want to take her to a hub of white slavers...then again! http://www.sjf.co.uk/pubsandbars/about.php?id=20
  7. Well I wouldn't kick them out of bed on a cold winter's night, Adam, but nope, that ain't the connection. Think characters. PS - I'm having a Youtube music night - flitting from site to site.
  8. Me and Maria fancy a goosey goosey in there, Foxy. What's the meals like, do you know?
  9. Not the connection I'm looking for, Keith. I actually thought this would go straight away.
  10. I was in the house and had just turned the TV on for the news. I was totally shocked at what I was seeing. The weirdest thing is I had dreamt a plane had crashed into the Power Station chimneys not long before 911. I bought the DVD by the two Frenchman and United 93, and every anniversary I watch these two DVDs. They still have the same shock factor on me after all these years.
  11. I'll dig out my kipper tie and iron my flares. A ten bob note should cover the drinks, shouldn't it. (That was the last time I had a night out in the toon. The Bacchus was the pub.)
  12. I don't think so, Malcolm, I heard they all liked a bit of sausage. (Oooh Matron!)
  13. Crazy Cuts - awld Co-op. Hold on, Foxy, it could be the other way, the old Post Office. What's the prize for getting this? A night out with Kylie, Danni, Keira Knightley, Hilda Ogden!!!! I'll even settle for Nora Batty if she keeps her stockings on.
  14. I didn't notice that, Merc'. Me being a celibate monk living in a cave in the Pennines. I suppose you're right and I should give you the star prize of a night of passion with the WOMAN of your dreams...but that's just decadent sexisim so I'll have to say WRONG. PS, Merc, are you still doing a quiz up the road?
  15. Happy birthday, Vic, hope it's a great day.
  16. crescat scientia vita excolatur
  17. Humour and Music - the great bridging of gaps. And when us blokes were kids it was football. Stick a bunch of kids in the middle of a field with a caser and you were all happy as Larry. They reckon my football playing was a cross between Moore and Charlton - Sir Patrick Moore and Eddie Charlton!!!!! (Naw, I was quite good actually.)
  18. An Argentinian Pope! now isn't that a coincidence, considering the resurgence of the Falklands problem. Just who is pulling the strings in geo-politics.
  19. Yeeeeeeeeeeeeaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhh....NO. Something happening in the news lately will give you the answer. (or at least a ginormous clue.)
