I missed last night but the young people with the business plan for making Northumberland Rock sounded really organised. Bedlington's new entrepreneurs. I liked the idea that in marketing their product they are too young to drive. I will be heading to the Chantry to buy. Customised Bedlington Morpeth, Blyth, Ashington and Newbiggin Rock. All with a relevant picture. Such a brilliant idea.

Who knows what gremlins are at work. Maybe just maybe I might get it right sometime soon. Guess you are just going to have to read this one upside down. Keep fit thrown in on the website.

Brilliant! Well done Morpeth.

This could turn into Desert Island Discs Eggy. Colin on Synergy is playing so many records that we have collected over the years ,that it seems he may have borrowed our record collection.

I looked and could not find a date but from the adverts I would say the book is about 100 years old. I will take some pictures and investigate.

Canny Lass or Sherlock Holmes?

Today in the journal they are talking Nuclear energy. I guess the decision is wind, nuclear, bio mass, coal, or even wave power. Perhaps if the government were to allow us all small wind turbines we might feel differently. The subsidies that we are paying through our power bills are, just maybe, going to the wrong people. Would it help to have Generators that are owned by the individual I know the national grid was partly thought up by the Gosforth Company of Mertz and Maclellan, Maybe the time has come for someone to help us all with our own power supply which would bypass the grid.

My neighbour is 93, she was surprised when some health worker made comment about the word and its origins.

Seem to remember condensed milk sandwiches. Tin on the side to get the last drops out. I guess it was supposed to be used for cooking. As the generation born just after the war there was still rationing so I guess we craved sweet things.

Further investigation would indicate Wingate. Not sure about the Golf ball. What a beautiful county we live in. Even in the rain. The mist can add a new dimension. Sacred Hills and Sacred County. Maybe I am biased.

This morning I was listening to radio 4, sorry Synergy. For the inheritance tracks you chose one from the past and one to pass on to the next generation. Joni Mitchell Blue was chosen to pass on. I wonder what people on the site would choose. I would choose Harvest Moon Neil Young to pass on. Dean Martin Sway from the past.

The signal goes as far as The Simonside Hills as long as you are on higher ground. Sacred hills! The tracks you played this afternoon Colin, are almost a sound track to our lives. Maybe we should start an inheritance track topic.

When someone from Geordieland says:- 'I am just a simple Geordie lad or lass' that's when you need to worry because they know more than anyone. Not sure if any of you would agree!

Well done frame at last. A mention by Stephen Fry and a retweet! My Grandkids were arguing yesterday about who Ian Lavery sounded like in the family. They were not listening too deeply to the political issues! Sorry

From the old opencast track at the Red House West Bedlington you can see a series of wind turbines. There is also a golf ball in view, the Simonside hills are in the background. Not sure where they are.

We overheard today in Cramlington:- 'Haad on noo' Off looking for the wind turbines you can see looking West from Netherton Lane now.

Gibralta - Is Your Union Jack Properly Laundered?
Maggie/915 replied to threegee's topic in Chat Central
Personal abuse is an interesting form of argument Symptoms. The Guardian is usually fair minded about most issues. However none of us are perfect all the time. You have to be scared of the politicians who claim the moral high ground. The truth is the only certainty. All to often the truth is warped to suit a particular viewpoint, or hidden from public knowledge.
