  1. Will it stop at Bedlington Station ?
  2. If red squirrels are there, they are protected, get onto that lot at Plessey woods and they may get involved.
  3. Welcome to the site Jen ...... Jenifer Dobson by any chance? if you are we go back a long way.
  4. Wally's at the gate (the travellers) had the best broth in the county. All those poachers around there made sure it had the best of ingredients .
  5. Harry (the rabbit) and Pat were in the Percy Brian. Sold it last year and it is now an Italian restaurant . Don't know if they are involved with the Clayton leek show though.
  6. South Row was the miners houses down here in gods little acre (the station) Ran from about where the entrance to Bower Grange is to the railway crossing. The home next to the spar was the colliery managers house. The Easton homes opposite were the retired miners cottages.
  7. Clayton ,,,,,,,, bring a coat and hard hat though
  8. He is a Mackem apologies to some of you............ Jeez !!! so ya should be Maggie
  9. "Most elderly citizen" ? Malcolm just said he is ruled out !!
  10. Yup they are talking of opening the Blyth &Tyne line up again to Ashington. Mind you I will believe it when it is actually open .
  11. Some clown decided to smash Clayton windows with a hammer a couple of hours after he had been thrown out in the new year. They had only just been put in a few weeks earlier as well.
  12. Jakes not owned by the person I was told owned it . If and when the railway station is re-opened it will be interesting to see if the owners of the Clayton are told to get it sorted once and for all. Every visitor to Bedlington Station by car, bus, on foot and eventually by rail sees the Clayton and the state it is in.
  13. And suitably impressed I was too !!! (even though it wobbled) wouldn't mind one for me garden Malcolm
  14. I am much more looking forward to Armageddon . I would rather sit in the middle of the A1 at the bottom of the Felton by-pass (death valley), sticking hot pins in my eyeballs than watch Aussie egg chasers run themselves ragged on a hot day. Now you enjoy it Brian, take plenty of pro-plus with your hot milk to keep yourself awake :dribble:
  15. Aussie beer don't count though. Once its been swilled around the kidneys of outback camels a few times it loses a bit of kick but improves the taste.
  16. it's this .............http://www.demotivateur.fr/video-drole
  17. At least Jakes is empty and derelict ....... the Clayton LOOKS derelict and is still trading !!!!
  18. .......... So are you gonna tell us what it is then ?
  19. The place is a bloody disgrace. I have an idea who owns it as I had heard that he bought it in the summer and he was planning to start work on it asap but little or nothing has been done. Someone I know parked her car outside there on Wednesday and some debris fell off Jakes and hit her, car, damaging it. It narrowly missed a lady walking by with a child. When I see him Ill ask him if it is true that he now owns Jakes and if he does, what he is going to do with the place. Personally I think the place should now be flattened. Malcolm, or some of his colleagues on WBTC, will probably know better, but I think the planning rules for change of use for commercial premises were relaxed this summer. I believe you can just go ahead change the use without permission now.
  20. I think its a trap. We will gather in the market place and we will all be abducted by Aliens and transported to a far off planet (Ashington) where we will be set free to be hunted down and eaten by the natives .
  21. if she's a cleaner at the Clayton she wants sacked !!! she's crap at doing windows
  22. there was a distinct shortage nearer bonfire night
  23. ...... and ??
