    The only puzzling thing about this argument is your ineptitude to get the point.Yes I agree with him but does he and islam agree with me,anything clicked yet,no I didn't think so! When they come to this country do they think our laws apply to them, no, because of their religion,can they get round our laws because of their religion, yes ,can I claim the same rights as them in my own country, no.do they get away with things because of "racial discrimination"yes Are they trying to undermine our education system, yes,are they trying to change dress codes in our schools and society, yes,are they trying to undermine the christian faith,yes.Does anybody do anything about it,no.Why because we have a country full of people like yourself who just want to sit back and let them get on with it...........till its to late that is!

    Could I do anything like this in their countries NO! So why should they tell us what to do in their countries when they have no intention of doing that in countries they go to!

    Makes you wonder why they move to this country if they dont like our ways... maybe because we've spent billions doing this place up over the years and they like the look of it. You wont see many people going the other way. We're lucky in this country and they know it. Jealously is a terrible thing.. the're stuck with a rubbish religon living in a dusty horrible hole with no facilties and they like to have a pop at us using Islam and its prophet to try and show the west in a bad light.

    Yes, I've often wondered, if we in the west are all so evil, why do they go to extreme lengths to get into our country in the first place?

    Apart from the fact that they get cash, housing, education, healthcare and more (more than us in most cases) thrown at them of course!

    Nearly kicked the f****** telly in when listenening to the news,they are f****** demanding this teacher is executed for the crime of naming a F****** cuddly toy MU F****** HAMMED What are these people on? Then low and behold there's some Sudanese F****** !*!@# on the telly telling us that anyone who comes to their country should respect THEIR culture and THEIR laws, Well blow me down MISTER when you and your lot come to this COUNTRY you should respect OUR culture and abide by our LAWS or STAY THE F*** OUT :angry::angry::angry:

    I was at Blyth Beach last week when there was a flood warning about the huge waves. The horizon looked all buckled, the waves were that big. I was standing there watching the waves when all of a sudden this massive one came out of nowhere and I ran up the beach to get out the way of it! It came all the way up to the sand dunes!

    It was so funny, an old couple taking photos were laughing their arses off at me.

    Thats exactly what we were talking about the other day. I suppose it gives them the chance to test a few people before settling them into permenant positions. I wouldnt care, there were supposedly hundreds of applications and yet so many people 'dropped out'... hmm.

    Were the people who worked at Somerfield supposed to be getting kept on to work at Tesco?

    Hello everyone, just want to thank you all for the birthday wishes and hope everyone is well. I used to live at the Station until we moved to Canada some thirty odd years ago. I live near Toronto although miss Bedlington bigtime. I just changed my profile pic to a more recent one. Thats me with wore Justin, mi grandson.

    Awwww! How old is he Tony? You know theres people from all over the world who use this forum, and they all say they miss this place!

    Getting back to the topic in hand, i smell a rat....

    this open day, a fair few people went along, and i only heard of 2 getting a job, then rest all got the 'sorry, although your application was very good, we have not got a position for you' letters.

    In this 'open day' it was stated that everyone who was offered a job would be either full time or part time...and it would be permanant.

    Now, i know of several people, including myself, who have since had phonecalls where the guy basically says 'people have dropped out, and theres now a place opened up... i personally said no, i had made other arangements, but a few i know have accepted. they recieved another phonecall confirming their start date and instructing them to hand in ntice at their other jobs to start on monday.

    they did as was told, went to work on monday where they were hearded onto a bus and taken to another store for 'an induction' where they were told they would only be there for that day, for 4-5 hours, and have the rest of the week off.

    they were also informed that they wouldnt actually begin 'training' till the store opened, they would just be getting the store ready for opening.

    Imagine their supprise when they get home to find an offer of employment letter on their doorstep, stating the hours as promised, but a little footnote at the bottom stating: as explained, this is a temporary position for 12 weeks, although we reserve the right to end this contract at any time.

    Be careful, those who have left permanant jobs to go there... from what i hear, all those that were contacted last week are in this position, and will only be used till the store opens!

    I'm pleased i turned it down ;)

    Thats exactly what i've been hearing, it happened to a friend, she's accepted though. I wonder if it's true that so many people dropped out and now suddenly theres loads of people getting offered the jobs... and i wonder why their all temporary?

    Yes have grown a bonsai tree. Advice: Keep outside in summer and water each night. Kep indoors the rest of the year preferably in a steamy bathroom that gets the sun. Warning: Cats like eating them!

    Really? Doesnt it do the cat any harm?

    Gallery and Blog problems to be fixed too - I'm led to believe! :blink:

    Will try to give at least 24 hours notice of the work.

    What problems are they? I'm not aware of any... except that I had to add a new image to my gallery to make it appear on the main gallery page again.

    With the forthcoming changes it would seem an opportune time to get rid of 'party politics' at local level.

    The council have just had a "public reply' document about the changes out, anyone on here replied?

    ANYONE KNEW ABOUT IT?
