Well it is bigger than the film industry practically , its just a matter of time before the visuals are almost reality, I have a problem with these games because i've met a lot of different people that i know these games would effect. The types who in free form gangster games would just go round smashing tramps heads in with baseball bats or setting them on fire.. think it was max payne on the xbox, and thats all they did, the game didnt really get played, they just liked the parts where you could pretend to torture figures to death.
Now the games manhunt 1 and 2 are just all about the torture and kill part.... Well it is only a game
I played Manhunt 1... how satisfying to bludgeon your tormentor to death using a rusted hammer!
Must admit it was rather uncalled for but it didnt in any way affect me...
(if anyone has any evidence to prove otherwise, speak now or forever hold your peace! )
Really though, there will always be mentally deranged people out there that will do naughty things and blame it on Manhunt / Ozzy / Wario / God / Voices in Head etc.

Good idea..i might be able to get some more photos, most of my relatives lived at Netherton Colliery,i`ll start plaguing them
I mean, once the people who own the photos have gone, the photos tend to go with them (or at least, they end up in the bin).
We might as well get them online, it'll get people onto the site too. We can have our own collection here that cant be found anywhere else on the net.

Great pics and thanks for sharing them, but alas I don't recognize any of those faces featured. If anyone has anymore, please upload them.
I think we should put all of these old photos into the gallery... threegee could make another section in the Gallery called old photos or something so we could all add our own pics if we've got any.
I know a couple of old people who have interesting photos of Bedlington which cant be found anywhere on the net and it would be nice to create an online record.
What does everyone else think?

anyone go?
apparently 100 jobs up for grabs by december, with a further 50-100 once the store opens fully....
I saw the notice in the windows saying there were job interviews a few days ago.
So when will Tesco be opening?

What part of Bedlington did this happen in?

How come Michael Owen has always got broken bones when he's at Newcastle but when it's time to Play for England he's suddenly as fit as a fiddle?
At the end of the day he's too embarrased to put a Newcastle top on because Newcastle are dump. Thats all it is, Newcastle dont bring him the glory that England does. Pitty for him!

I dont know... games come with ratings on them just like films do.
These games are made by adults, for adults. I've never seen a computer game thats been made yet that comes anywhere near the gore and hack seen in movies.
If it's the kids that everyone's worried about, stop them from playing the games. It's only a small percentage of the games market that contain this stuff but the games arent made to encourage people to eat each other. They are made to shock the player and get a reaction - which they do, and do well - otherwise we wouldnt be talking about it now. It's 'entertainment' for those that want it.
Take it or leave it. The games industry will be bigger than the movie industry soon enough. You just have to look at Halo 3 to see how big it's become.

Tesco being investigated again by OFT
Just like Somerfield in Bedlington was. All Tesco has to say is that ASDA in Blyth is competition enough and then Tesco can rule Bedligton.
-
The Bedligton Terrier dog is the only reason why people around the world know that there even is a town called Bedlington.
Well, I think they are nice looking dogs and they are canny too.
You should have put a poll on your post Mr darn, then we could have all voted against you!

I like it!

I`ve just read that Tesco isn`t opening till the New Year
Where did you read that?

There is a supposed bootsale every week at the Bedlington Market..You know, the big white vans that come directly from Ashington Tip,they sell everything from scratched to !*!@# cd`s,Levi jeans with an ankle width that Nicole Richie would be proud of and clart encrusted worn out (worn once) trainers that Steve Cram once wore..and as for Jet2,they`re nowt but a cheeky bunch of bast*rds

I like the message at the beginning.

The council own the car park, they just lease it out.

this is not racism wen the !*!@#'s are telling white man jokes is there or english irish and scotch jokes no so button ya lip
Racism is all Hamburger ever goes on about. Mention anything you like and he'll try his very best to relate it to racisim in some way or another.
It's because of people like him that it's now an offence to say "Black bag" rather than refuse sack.
Hamburger, why dont you join up with the Klu Klux Klan and berate them about racism, rather than preaching here over harmless jokes.
Alternatively, be quiet.
-
You`ve got a point..they play the racism card at every opportunity.UK is too soft.
It`s nothing to do with racism,in this case it`s to do with fairness. Why should they be given priority over people that`s been on the list for years?
Because if they dont get what they want, erm - we're racist?

Whats wrong with him?
Really, why does he keep snapping his bones? Ok so he probably doesnt do it on purpose but come on! He reminds me of that Jonny Wilkinson.
