  1. The old adage 'It's not WHAT you know but WHO you know' still stands! 3G is right if you can get to see the boss and speak to him personally this works very much in your favour. I am in the process of trying to get a job with Nissan, this is a long and drawn out process. I think this is the first job I have tried for without being given the 'Nod' from someone I know. I promised myself that I was finished with production work and to work outdoors more, but, needs must. The hours are long, the work will be very boring but the pay is good and I've never been afraid to do something I don't want to and work hard at it. Good luck Tez and to each and everyone of you who are looking for work and 'Don't let the bastards grind you down'
  2. That's right it was the brick works not the pit ponds! Got mixed up there, it's because we used to go there for tadpoles and newts. Wonder how they got planning permission for a land fill with the newts being there?
  3. Barton, Whippet racing is usually in a straight line. Also I think the concrete road you are on about( The Lonnen,or could be Lonning) starts in the 'dip' in the road and runs all the way to Netherton past firstly 'Nelsons' farm then past 'Rutherfords' farm. There was a tip near Netherton many years ago, not sure exactly where though. Later on there was a landfill sited where the pit ponds were, but this was in the late 80's early 90's.
  4. Stuff Sharia Law! It's not wanted in the UK! Get back to when you do wrong you get punished not rewarded. Bloody good for nothing do-gooders
  5. Yes it is symptoms, though how much longer........especially when the Muslims, Jews, Blacks and Asians realise.........
  6. This has been on the news all day, unfortunately they didn't quite realise the point they were making! All roads in the N.E. were moving and no major problems are reported except in the Morpeth and Bedlington areas where roads are blocked and driving is extremely hazardous! Says it all really!
  7. had to look twice there, thought I'd been sleep typing :dribble:
  8. Human rights, bloody do-gooders and getting ya ass sued, springs to mind there Stephen! Personally, and yes you all know what's coming, I'd thrash the little bar stewards to within an inch of their pathetic little lives, make them clear their mess up then thrash them again just to get the message across. This poosie footing around with toe-rags must cease forthwith! Machine guns, wall and do-gooders :dribble:
  9. That's the point I was trying, in my perverse way, to get across! Once out of Bedlington roads were gritted, I'll not say clear, but they were bloody driveable FFS
  10. Let me know after you have tried it Malcolm
  11. Tez I have a knack of getting people hot under the collar and to blast hot air, so if my services are still required you know where I am :dribble:
  12. If you need a hand to clear it gis a shout
  13. Like deja vu that Keith, I said something similar and for some reason she didn't like it. :dribble: Oh! and she does't like emotions  Note to NCC: If you can be bothered get your maps out, between Ashington and Cramlington there's a place called Bedlington........WE COULD DO WITH THE GRITTERS HERE ESPECIALLY THE BANK ON GLEBE ROAD........ cars stuck again there this morning! Had an interview in Washington this morning, it took me longer to get out of Bedlington than it did the rest of the journey to Washington and I live on a main road! An ABSOLUTE BLOODY DISGRACE!
  14. that's the one, with the !*!@# exhaust and the !*!@# driving it

    Big Cat

Another sighting, though this is a strange one. Big Cat sighted on the green outside Choppington first school at 4am. Large, much bigger than domestic moggy, large pointy ears with tufts, light coloured legs and tan mottled body with stumpy tail. Hard to believe this one, but came from a reliable source!
  20. Merc, I saw the police there on friday night about 8. 'Spoons will have to sort this out if they want to keep the sort of clientele they are after. But the same as before this is a new thing for people and once they realise they cannot get away with such behaviour they'll go else where, but 'Spoons need to sort it quick before word of mouth spreads that it is full of drunken yobs! As for the parking I notice that residents of High Ridge will be far from happy with people parking outside their front doors and all up the back road to 'Spoons.
  21. Agreed Brian, word is that they have a lot of staff in at the moment for training purposes then they will have their hours cut and then some as you say will fall by the wayside. I don't think this is 'Doom and Gloom' it's just a hard fact of running a business!
  22. OH! Yes there is a solution! Bring back Perry, get the clamps out, I'll be his apprentice, I'll clamp anybody and anyone who has the temerity to park any where in and around the schools mwhahah mwhaha! Traffic Wardens Rool Ok :dribble: NCC get the parking meters out, look at the money you are losing  Get the tow trucks in operation. The police could hit their targets for a month in one day if they pulled their proverbial finger out.Get the cameras erected, put a bus lane in, get the yellow paint out, get the humps put in, bring back public hanging! Jesus I got a sweat on! An' that's against my religion :dribble:
