We walked from Plessey woods to Stannington the other day Fantastic , well signposted,lots of people enjoying the space. We did have a problem crossing the dual carriageway but the walk and riverside views were / are second to none . Then there is the viaduct. Railway history brilliant . Bedlington is a good lace to live

It seems they are filming at Alnwick till the 8th August for the fifth series

From the grapevine it seems we are to get many wrap around building projects in Bedlington. Near the golf course to Hartford Hall. To the west we are to become one with the village. The development plan is not working it seems. Housing at a rate of 60 per year with building to the North of Bedlington is now forgotten ! The money motive is King. NCC were to be at the meeting but it seems did not turn up. Maybe fear . Feelings it seems are running high . Rural life here is about to change forever. Our town is not the only place to be targeted.

Walking through our award winning Plessey Woods wrapped in history is a wonderful walk. Railway history bridge then bus to Morpeth. Where, I wonder do the buses stop now?

Right mercuryg head the other way to Sheepwash Then walk along the river to Stakeford. Next catch the bus to the Lion. Under the bridge is a great sculptured mural.

They could be on the road to hell. Addiction!
