We need you In Bedlington threegee to unravel the truth ! It truly is a state of irritation that we have people justifying the current state of play in Bedlington. Other towns even Pegswood with a population of about 3,000 have more to offer their residents.
-
It may take a while Brett but truth will out on all things.
-
How about 'shock horror Symptoms returns to Bedlington and becomes a moderator!' After all we are all on the same side. Not always moderate!
-
I hope the people who are causing problems pull out all the stops to help and not hinder you Malcolm. I cannot see why they would seek to stop progress. They should seek salvation by working to save our town. Party politics should be forgotten. The common good.

Happy Birthday

Exactly right Canny Lass. 'Fight the good fight with all your might'

Further to my post above these are our paid representatives on the NCC. Terry Johnstone West Bedlington (He got a mention on the comedy night / Kai Humphries and School) Valerie Tyler East Bedlington Alyson Wallace Central Bedlington John James Gobin Sleeknurn David Ledger Choppington Julie Foster Stakeford. Lots of people but what have they ever done for us in Bedlington. ( to quote Monty Python) Do they bother to turn up for meetings. What expenses do they claim? Basically why do we suffer from such a lack of facilities. To move forward we may , sadly, have to look back. What is needed is an independent audit of all years from the 70's onward. The figures quoted about the five million are misleading. We need transparency. Central Goverment are scrutinised , the time has come for Local Scrutiny!. Surely If everything has been done correctly then these people will be proved to be above and beyond reproach. This is not about party politics and individuals. It is about a town with nothing and nothing to loose. Not even a toilet. 'Pot to p**s in'

Sorry not sure why the above happened. First it told me I could not post and then two appeared one without the picture. Sorry

I would like to know what our County Councillors and Councillors in the wider area of Bedlington / Bedlingtonshire have done with regard to the Core Strategy and our Town / Shire. An investigation needs to be conducted into who attends meetings . ( Locally and at County level) Basically do they represent us in Bedlington or themselves.! What working groups do they 'sit on' and what money they receive for the privilege! The question of money is always difficult but we need answers. Where has the money gone? The Rates we pay are considerable ,given the size of the Shire. Money from new houses being built. Our taxes Locally and Nationally If consideration is given to five million being spent on Bedlington, ( routine maintenance or capital spend ) then what other issues can we take into account. We see so very little progress. Morpeth's Plan should be similar to ours. The population of Morpeth ,it seems, is about 14,000 and. Pegswood about 2,000. How does that compare with Bedlingtonshire given our lack of facilities. Sometimes it is the little things that show the real picture. This is a picture of the new or refurbished toilet in Morpeth between the Telford Bridge and the library. Quality even down to the doors.

Details of consultation dates and population numbers for Pegswood and Morpeth. Basically all the ideas and deadlines we have missed.

So very many questions come to mind. Why can these people not see Bedlington is a real case for consideration. Working together is not so very hard.. Regardless of politics. Again is attack their means of defence. If we were to analyse the figures for say 'Pegswood', I think we would get a different story. Bedlington, surely! has a larger population . In the past our town population supported many shops, Ok! habits have changed but given the shops , leisure facilities, toilets and more I think people would stay local. Why travel to fight for a parking space?. Why catch a bus? Why not walk to the local shops and keep fit? It could work. Morpeth's Neighbourhood Plan was encouraged a few years ago. Did that mean extra funding? Did our councillors let us down by not even trying to go down that line.! The Core Strategy encourages local involvement and yet we have not developed a plan.. I hope it is not to late. Let's all work together. All for one and one for all..

Councillor Sambrook is 'Governance and Planning' at NCC. He represents Pegswood, it might be interesting to see how much money has been spent on his area. Do we include new link road to Pegswood and Ashington!
-
I did think our entry was too bad. As trends in music go, it was what a lot of people here are listening to.
-
Oops Just maybe a Freudian Slip!

Edible Kippers. Seahouses smoked. Looking at the Morpeth Neighbourhood Plan is interesting. All outlying areas are included. It has been in the making for a few years . I wonder if our council tax is helping to make the plan possible.

Exactly my thoughts Vic. He represents Labour and just maybe feels the need to justify the labour response to Bedlington. Basically no action needed, money spent. This protest is not going away! Today people were around the market place talking and socialising. Given the lack of shops, it was great to see. Mind we were heading to North Shields for Kippers. I did wave at the camera. Thanks to Canny Lass we are watching Eurovision with Kippers followed by Strawberries! Too much information perhaps!!!
-
Everyone has a right to an opinion but the way forward is what can be done to change things . No negativity! The future is working together and not looking at details of why things have not been done!
-
We need change threegee but at the moment we have to trust everyone will work together. There are too many politicians in our town justifying no action. Attack being the best method of defence.
-
Agreed Symptoms! Unfortunately I cannot say :- Je suis Maggie' without changing my name or Je ne suis pas Le Maggie' Not sure if the French is correct. I could blame Mr Stafford Westridge but I guess I did not see much point in concentrating. I did not anticipate travelling too far from home

Bloody Hell I am watching last nights programme. 'Eurovision at 60' History pure and simple , a great programme! May even have to watch tonight!
-
Very interesting Vic. Question is Who wrote the letter and Why? Everyone can use statistics and in this case the basic duties of the local authority to justify why no more money should be invested in Beflington. This guy needs to come and justify his assertions in Bedlington. My guess is quite a few people are worried by the present interest in Bedlington. No one shopping here is down to the lack of viable and relevant shops. Give us the shops and things will change! Who wants to fight for a parking space at Cramlington or Morpeth!

We saw him about 1998 . Even then there appeared to be a doc at the side of the stage. Fantastic music, great voice.
